Hernandez was cut when he was arrested, or just around that timeline. Not the day before. Quote]

He was cut the day he was arrested but he wasn't charged with 1st degree murder when he was first arrested. He was first arrested for Obstruction of justice I believe.

He was never arrested for obstruction, they issued a warrant. When he got arrested they dropped him, its what they do. They dont like that sort of thing.

Here is an article on the OP, .
http://www.tmz.com/2013/06/26/aaron-hernandez-dropped-by-patriots/[

Quote: dresturn2
"He is way to immature and some of these players think they invincible. He probably didn't mean to kill him but if you carry a gun and you ain't in control of your emotions thinks can happen."

Reply: I'm not 100% sure but I think the victim was shot 3 to 5 times

Also:

Does any one remember when Baltimore Ravens LB Ray Lewis who retired last year after winning the super bowl was arrested for 2 counts of murder?

I slept on it and im slightly altering my view on how I feel. First I said good for the pats letting him go but I changed that. I personally feel he did it, but they are in the usa where it innocent until proven guilty, beyond a reasonable doubt.

My goodness, now he's a suspect in a double murder case. Can things get any worse for this guy?

He was doing this stuff (allegedly) before even becoming a pro, Once he became a pro he should of never hooked up with anyone from his past life... but then again who knows if that was even a possibility for him. I don't see gangs to be the type of people to go we took care of you before you were big now that your big you can leave. Leaving may have put him and his family at risk.

No excuse however if he is found guilty I'm sure prisoners love them Tight Ends.

I am baffled at how these guys in the NFL and NBA refuse to get out of the lifestyle they had prior to making it. It ends up costing them what most people dream of having. When you make it like that, you have to be smart enough to avoid the bad crowd as it could cost you dearly. This kid had the world by the balls and let bad decisions cause it all to be gone in an instant.

Yep, my thoughts exactly. Crazy to have everything he could possibly want then blow it all by being a thug.

It is the same here - but in some cases the writing is on the wall and you just have to use a tiny bit of common sense based on known facts to come to a conclusion of guilt. This is one of those cases. :)

Its going to be impossible for him to have a fair trial.. because everyone thinks (knows) he is guilty before he even has a trial. The Jury will probably have their minds made up before they even know they are going to be jurors (is jurors the correct word?)

If you do have his jersey don't trade it in sell it on ebay... his Jerseys are selling for up to $200+ and a signed jersey sold for $1,200

oh guess they try to give "gangstas" a 2nd chance, they would of had to know about his history before allowing him to play.

who am i kidding tho, willing to bet 75% of the NFL is gangstas and thugs.

I'm curious what was going through his head when he did this. Youre a star nfl tight end that just received a big contract, you have a kid, and a wife/girlfriend. Why would you throw your whole life away???? Its just astonishing to me.

A cool breeze, thats what was going through his head. In one ear, out the other.

Is the problem NFL players acting like thugs or making thugs NFL players?

Definitely making thugs NLF players same with the NBA. They should make a rule where if you have jail time for assault, theft or any serious crime you won't be able to join . It might make it so High school thugs who are gifted in sports and who want to make it in to the NFL or NBA to do their absolute best to stay away from bad crowd. It would also keep college students who are going down the wrong path in line.

What is our society coming to when we say "hey you were found guilty of beating a woman but you can run the 40 in 4 so here is 50 million dollars and fame"
