It is not looking good. I had no idea he was such an asshole until this story came out - now hearing all kinds of things about him.

Hernandez lost his MuscleMilk endorsement deal. Based on everything that has happened so far, I think he's screwed.

Herandez in very deep doo-doo

Has no one been following this? They finally arrested him, and it's the worst charge possble - murder in the first degree.
Some of you might know that I'm a bit more involved daily at football forums. but this is bigtime news for everyone. Considering Brady lost him and Gronk probably, at least for awhile, Welker for sure. I almost can't believe what Belichcik did. In all fairness, this was totally unaccounted for. If Ridley turns out to be the next AP/Foster, fine just don't see it.

Yeah, crazy stuff. Had a feeling this would happen. I think the Patriots should be fine, they still one of the best players and the only play that matter in Tom Brady. And their defense should be better. But sucks for Hernandez, he's done!

Hernandez was a good tight end now he is going to be a good loose end in prison, lol. Looks like its Tebow time as a tight end in New England.

I'm curious what was going through his head when he did this. Youre a star nfl tight end that just received a big contract, you have a kid, and a wife/girlfriend. Why would you throw your whole life away???? Its just astonishing to me.

Until the law treats everyone equal this stupid shit will keep happening. If it were you or me in this mess we would have been charged with 1st degree murder within minutes let alone days.

I am baffled at how these guys in the NFL and NBA refuse to get out of the lifestyle they had prior to making it. It ends up costing them what most people dream of having. When you make it like that, you have to be smart enough to avoid the bad crowd as it could cost you dearly. This kid had the world by the balls and let bad decisions cause it all to be gone in an instant.

The pats will be fine. They are prob biggest franchine in football. The vibe of keeping him on the roster outweighs the cost of cutting him.

Just glad this didn't happen after the season started. I would have spent an early pick on him in fantasy league since gronk is out.

I don't think its all that shocking that players that had a gang banger past who make it big in the NFL or NBA or what ever the case may be don't change... If you take a person who is breaking the law and getting into trouble and then give them $45 million dollars and fame they don't go "wow I need to change" they SHOULD but its not realistic especially how we give special treatment to stars when the law is concerned.

If it were me and I was under investigation and not convicted of anything I would consider suing the Patriots for cutting me for the investigation.. The Patriots cutting Herandez is like the Patriots saying "hey your guilty"

I wonder if Tom Brady was being charged with 1st degree murder if the Patriots would be so quick to cut him..

Herandez was cut the day BEFORE he was being charged with 1st degree murder.

He is way to immature and some of these players think they invincible. He probably didn't mean to kill him but if you carry a gun and you ain't in control of your emotions thinks can happen.

Patriots drop everybody in this situation. They are very strict like that. If Brady got in similar trouble I wouldnt doubt he would be released. Hernandez was cut when he was arrested, or just around that timeline. Not the day before. Again, Patriots have a history of doing things like this, they want absolutely zero off field distractions. Its also worth noting, this thing has been festering for a while so they would have had time to think it through.

He is way to immature and some of these players think they invincible. He probably didn't mean to kill him but if you carry a gun and you ain't in control of your emotions thinks can happen.

Also I'm not one to speculate so how about we wait for the trial. Like I doubt anyone in this thread has received any additional information to what was in the arraignment and stuff so lets not all go about presuming he is guilty. Now He may very well be but let the justice system play out before we say something. Show me the evidence, if you will.

Crazy gonna cray, evil gonna evil

I sure as hell hope they have better evidence than what we've read though, 'cause all this crap seems circumstancial to me.
