fwiw if the games were softer by a reasonable amount, it would heavily influence my decision. like if fish all stopped playing on FTP forever because they heard about how howard "satan" lederer stole $40000000 in player funds, then i'd probably spend close to 0% of my time playing there.

if the games were markedly softer than stars, i'd probably dabble around in them a fair bit

I never really liked FT anyway, I always picked PS over FT every time, after what happened I don't think I'd ever be inclined to play with any sort of real money on their site only freerolls.
So you'd stay 'LOYAL' to pokerstars then?
Are you taking into consideration what's been said in above posts re: new owners & new management for FTP? Say they were people who were considered to be very LOYAL in their efforts to run the site according to regulations set out by licensing (ie. 'segregate player's funds').

I don't know.. I personally have always like FTP much more than Stars. I'd be on there the minute it started up. I've always been pretty a loyal FTP customer. I guess you could call me a 'loyaller' of sorts.

Of course Bastard was my first option, as it is not on the poll I voted yes. I am US so it is really just a fantasy at this point. I preferred FT to Stars. I loved the software and the cash tables were alot more fun than what is on Merge.

US player too. Pretty much this^_^.

MrPokerVerse, okay, that makes sense, thanks for clarifying. :)

Debi, you're basically saying "yes" anyway. For the sake of the poll I don't really care whether "yes" means "yes I'd play there just as much as I did pre-BF" or "yes but I'd only play half as much/only play CC events/etc". Giving an in-between option would just make the poll less interesting imo!

That said, time for some hypothetical follow-up questions! Would the licensing of FTP have any effect on your decision? Would you be any less likely to play there or play less if FT renewed their license with the AGCC than if they obtained a license from elsewhere? What about if Lederer et al were to retain a (small) stake in the company?
Ah, now these questions get down to the crux of the matter (for me at least). I would play on FT again if (and that's a big IF) they were governed in the Isle of Man like Stars, and absolutely zero share holders from the previous ownership/board/whatever had a stake in it. All new owners/management would have to happen for me.

So to sum up, I would be less likely to play if AGCC was licensing them again (great job they did watchdogging the situation), and definitely not if people like Howard still held stake in the company (no matter how small).

But what I really really really want for Christmas is to be able to play on poker stars again and have neteller available to me again for deposits and withdrawals. Guess I'll be getting coal this year. :(

Yes, AGCC did a horrible job. And Lederer and all current management would have to be GONE!!!

But what I really really really want for Christmas is to be able to play on Poker Stars AND FTP again and have Neteller available to me again for deposits and withdrawals. Guess I'll be getting coal this year. :(

Voted yes but I'm not depositing either. I cashed out down to $200 post BF (during that short period that non-Americans had to cash out) and I'd play that. Never liked their software as much as PS, but still addicted to Rush Poker.

I like PokerStars better.. and now Carbon & intertops :(
Was never able to hold my own on FT. Much tougher opponents IMO.

I put IDK. If a bunch of fish signed up, I would play. But the way it used to be? All the best player? Heck naw! LOL

Shit, I forgot about when I read post 3 and 16 covering that obviously.
Some people post in threads without bothering to read them first - but I'm confident that you don't fall into that category. You could just have thanked me...

Then I was playing SnGs - around 5$ - and MTTs 2-10$. and found FT to be much softer than stars.

Of course, if it re opens, it will be a whole new situation, and since I read about many serious players having reservations, I think it will be a feast.

OPEN BACK UP FT!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know. People posting in threads w/o reading and knowing what it is about gets on my nerves too.

But to get back to OP, I think the oil prices will sink before the end of the year....

You really miss the days of games filling up quick as opposed to registering and waiting for enough people to play and 45 and 90 SNG are few and far between it seems, unless Im just not looking. I remember on FT it seemed I could go from game to game and they just filled up quick as lightning. ANd what really sucks is both PS and FT made online poker seem more fun, and their software was top notch. I want to say HELL NO, they stole everyones money, but then you see everybody else aint exactly quick on the payouts. THEY WOULD HAVE TO HAVE SOME SOLID, ALMOST INSURANCE LIKE, GTD on your money in place. Almost like you could see the numbers in the segregated funds so you know they are going up all the time and then this put too much concern on the reg player who just wants to play and not dwell on weather they site will be open tomorrow or not

I never deposited on the site because I built a $220+ BR from a freeroll,if they reopen the site then I will resume playing, if my BR has vanished, no matter how much I like the software I wouldn't play.

Hoping they will reopen...

Voted yes but as a U.S. player I doubt that I'll have that option.

With new ownership and the eyes of the poker playing world on them, the chances of anything shady would be remote (knock on wood).
I enjoyed playing at full tilt and had many good days in the cash games there. There daily freerolls and our games at full tilt were always challenging and enjoyable.:D I hope that all of us get our br's back from them and that would be a great help to me as well as the other memebers here I am sure.

Have always found it to be just the opposite... to the extreme!

nice in theory 'but' I think if player's $'s are returned you'll get quite a few regs. & fish might be reluctant to sign up & deposit (unless somehow they've missed the news re FTP)

27% rakeback, even with low volumes and playing micros... :D
Probabely best deal ever.
There are sites that offer better rakeback but that is because they have no traffic at all. What good to have rakeback if you can only play 2-3 tables at once maximum . The money you recive at the end of the week from RB not enough even for a pack of cigars.
