We would like to know what you look for when searching for a poker site to play at. What is important to you and what matters the most?

1. The more selection the better. All types of games at all buy in costs.

2. Constant games of all types so now waiting too often. As it is frustrating when certain games only go on when it does not work in your weekly schedule.

Bonus: Sports betting options would be really cool too.

I will tell you how it was happen with me when i decided to choose the poker room.
At the beginning, I established a goal for myself to study on poker first of all. I had got to decide between the two rooms utmost presented in my social environment and region. I prefered the room which was most in the foreground on TV then-a-days. I wasn't wrong when choosed full tilt poker. This poker room has offered many freerolls at that time and i got necessary experience within the meaning of poker itself playing all possible giveaway tounaments. Then the time has came to check/test my gained skills and apply practically obtained experience in the other room. I joined pokerstars. Some time later I set oneself an aim to play on real money and stand at gaze about first depositing. And so on....Because this post it's not meant for me so let me put some notes related to the captioned subject that summarized and extracted from my story.
For newbies, it is no less important that the choosed poker site become pilot room where you can find all needments for your poker journey. So, it is understandable why your choice turns next to the long-standing at the market operators which has implemented modifications and improvements all the while. These poker rooms already have games offers package required by clients, i am talking about freerolls, promotional actions and rewards program. Because beginners who can't afford to point-and-click deposit at this stage have got to play under near real money conditions at least. So, for greeners, i will determine such key aspects when making a selection of the poker site as the brand awareness and its long-standing at the market.
For advanced players, main features of the rooms when choosing the site (new site for some reasons) should cover reliability, confidentiality (yes, i am talking about privacy policy!) and operational responsiveness. At this stage you are operating with money and you need to have feeling as if you the one and only in whole room! All your needs supposed to be met in an adequate, quality manner and on time. I am talking about withdrawal requests, money transfers and other accompanying actions and operations.
For seasoned players, the site has got to be nice (comfortable) where you can feel at easy with the site interface because at this stage you devote much time to poker games and want to avoid things annoying you on occasions. I am talking about lagging, interruption etc.
Each level selection of the site involves the use of criteria from previous level selected.
In the end, the key is to be sequential while choosing the site not chasing excess perks at once. Good luck!

Lots of folks have mentioned trustworthiness as a key attribute. I agree, but how do you know if a site is trustworthy?

I've read some critical site reviews by individual members here in the CC forums, which is really helpful, but these are usually very specific to one person's interaction with the site. Misunderstanding may play a factor. Emotions often play a factor. And they're only useful to me if I happen to come across them at the right time.

It would be really nice if there were a totally unbiased poker site review site out there that you could count on to tell it like it is, all the time. One that keeps a large database and constantly updates that database and reviews with new info. I've tried a few times, but have yet to find that site.

Anyway, that's not the question asked here. So, what's Important?

Trustworthiness - yes, but this has to be a given, like banks. (I assume that banks are not going to try to steal my money. Up-selling unfortunately does exist and could be argued is a form of stealing, and the banks do do that.)

1) Lots of players and games - I belong to a site that is TOTALLY trustworthy, but has so few players and games that I never play there any more.

2) Slick, easy to use, full featured & fast software - if I don't feel comfortable with the software, it doesn't really matter how trustworthy the site is or how many players/games they have, I'm not going to play there much, if at all.

Responsive, helpful customer service. This is kind of like trustworthiness, it needs to be a given. Unless I have an issue that needs to be resolved and isn't, I'm probably never even going to notice this.
