Actually I am not a good player due to lack of experience and I am from India and i can't make deposit to any poker site according to my bank regulations but one thing for sure poker always fascinated me.

You could sign up for virtual credit cards from entropay or any number of online money sites. You can also buy prepaid cards, some sites allow paypal, and there are bank transfers.

There are many things I look for when picking a site to play on, they include:-

1. Easy of payment, whether in or out?
2. Amount of traffic? Don't to wait all day for a 9man-sng?
3. Level of support. Are they good at giving you a decent answer or do they bluff you off? Can they solve your issue?
4. Standard of game? Do they give you a decent player pool - to tournament level? Is there an opportunity to make good money? Do they promote good tournament schedules?
5. Are they good at providing all people with good competition? Is it a new comer, without the opportunity to move up the levels?
6. Overall standard of software? Does is look good? Does it hold up or does it have constant issues?
7. Do they offer a good range of games, PLO, NLHE, Razz, 5-Card Draw, 7-Card stud.
8. Finally - Do they support CC tournaments? Will they give us a good deal on sign-up? deposit or non-deposit bonuses, exclusive to CC?

As i have already an account on the most biggest poker sites, before i sign-up a new one somewhere else for me are most important three things:

1. First deposit bonus;
2. Affiliation;
3. Freerolls, Satellites, other benefits of those poker room.

For the new players i would recommend to start playing at the biggest ones like poker stars, 888, party poker and ACR for american players. They have simply the biggest promos, field and therefor are more secure, that they won't close tomorrow. However i wouldn't deposit too much anywhere. You never know. Always remember Full Tilt and The Black Friday. I mean Full Tilt was one of the biggest poker rooms back those day, went broke anyway...
