I sure wish Partypoker could make a better effort at scheduling their 'Feeder' satellites. (or perhaps I need to get better at navigating that lobby... or maybe both???).
Today I entered a $22 Millions Online Feeder. Despite a brutal 2min. blind structure (or maybe because of it??) I managed to win my $109 ticket while placing in the top 5. (one of those top 5 gauranteed but then when you read the fine print you discover that nothing is guaranteed aside from discovering you might be playing 15 levels for nothing when it doesn't meet it's guarantee. So what exactly IS a guarantee then??).
So I win the $22 satty. I bring up the lobby, expecting to see when the next satty starts (the Target event.. in this case the $109). A small window appears, asking me if I want to play the Freeroll or the Shootout (M4M).... it confuses me for a moment and then I don't get the chance to check the tourney lobby as it puts me on another table with 4 or 5 other players. We sit there for minutes. I assume it's because the tourney is about to begin. Then we're dealt a hand with blinds at 1k/2k and I bring up the lobby to discover I am starting off at Level 16. HA HA HA.. Level 16??? Really???
My stack is only deep enough to play ONE hand as it's folded to be & I have an AXo hand in CO so I gii. BTN calls with A-Xo & manages to river his weaker kicker. 'gg me'
So the few hours I spent winning the $22 & then the $109.... last me for ONE HAND, lol.
Worst scheduling EVER imo.

Why would it be so difficult to have multiple scheduled games where players can actually enter to start at the beginning of the tournament? What happened to the days of poker where some skill was involved? (today my dog had just as good of a chance at winning this as I did)

If you play a sat named "feeder" these auto register to the next event as suggested in the naming convention Info can also be found in the lobby under the i icon

10 years ago... lots of sites... LOTS of private & public freerolls. Today... not many.

So the two sites that are doing the best do not offer freerolls. Hmm... perhaps it's working for them...

Hey bud. Thanks for chiming in. I did all of that several times. Then I finally got it to work but the lag was still immense. When I flopped the straight and bet it and still couldnt get the hand in, I knew it wasnt going to happen. Cheers.

Freerolls are tricks to get beginners in the site, biggest sites have already done that so no need to do it all again.

I deposited today to partypoker and had to take the money back straight away. The plan was to play Spins, got bonus and everything. The reason I moved away from PokerStars was because of no rakeback. Well, couple of issues occurred. Software has become just.. trash. I played cash there like 10 months earlier and I had not complaints back then.


1. THE LAG. Wtf, I played on my laptop previously and now I have PC that can play AAA title videogames with max settings. Try to resize table, you see that the transition starts to stutter a lot and action freezes. When new table opens, it has some glitches too.


2. Timer.. I contacted support about this, the guy helping me said that there was settings for disabling that but it's more of band-aid than fix. The timer sometimes has less time left when I am button and action starts and the beeping starts straight away. Multitabling is scary when you have this sort of issue so I didn't even bother trying.


3. Software itself uses CPU like crazy. My PC starts to use fans at high speed very quickly. Very unoptimized, poker software shouldn't be doing this.


4. Oh and the hand replaying system is horrible, it is very important to me since I can not use PokerTracker to view my hands and analyze. They have some sort of "My Game" thing, which didn't even register my hands.. I actually think it was already in the software when I played cash games. Anyway, support said it is in beta stage yet so don't expect it to work perfectly. Looked around the software and found second hand player, which CAN NOT SHOW WHAT HAPPENED IN THE HAND? I can not learn anything by only looking at the results.

Good thing are the other players, this site is very soft. I was actually excited about not being able to use HUD. People shove ridiculous stuff even at high multipliers. This just reminded me of one thing, I got same player in same table like 4 times in row at $1 spins so I guess that is kinda worrysome. I have used live support couple times now, again same person each time lol. Props to Andrey, he is nice.

wow, still laggy? I thought maybe it was just that day that they were having server overload or something. Seems they credited me for the buy in on my tournies but, was not impressed by the no reply.

The software always leaved much to be desired but I dont think I could handle it being worse than before.

Gonna play my balance in the sportsbook and then I think I am done. There are better options out there in all aspects, not just software.

Freerolls are tricks to get beginners in the site, biggest sites have already done that so no need to do it all again.

This is not true in my opinion. There are new players who get 18 and want to start play every minute and to attract these, they should offer some freerolls. Also for people to start bankroll challenges and to give sone of that high rake back into the system. I dont understand why exactly the biggest sites offer nothing. But its just my opinion.:rock:

Those are the little tricks and scams i refer to,but you ask what little tricks.Add them all up it makes a huge difference.Pokerstars took four deposits from me in one go,got it recorded,it took them 16 secs to clean me out.Video shows me clearly only hitting the green button once,then it takes four deposits over 16 secs and finishes with the convenient message,please wait as only one transaction can be processed at once.Now if i did accidentally push it twice (or four times lmao) which i didnt...shouldnt this fail-safe message have popped up before it took four deposits,YES it should,thats what its designed for...and you think i would be silly enough to approach them just to have them say it seems suspicious and suspend my account and fill my time with emails back and forth for two weeks making me regret ever mentioning the disgusting underhanded (JAILABLE) DEPOSIT THEFT ACTIVITY....they should be raked over hot coals at the very least,thieving damned mongrel graspers that pokerstars are...its on video,so what if any authority can whack them as hard as they need to be whacked for this blatant theft,thats who i would like to send the recording to.And yes those feeder sats structures are a complete have and a joke unfortunately.If all was above board with online poker tickets would be exchangable for cash at all times,our money and or winnings would always be free to play or exchange anytime instead of all these ties,rules and regulations.And if any new sites come along doing whats right and fair,they get DDOSed or worse off the face of the earth.The whole lot of them give me a constant guts-ache but i will succeed,no doubt about that,cant keep a good man down!

And I understand why they run some of their satellites as 'FEEDERS' (basically to assure the guarantees in the satellites will be met & so they can be running regularly & so they can increase numbers to the target events). I just don't like how it is set up & I think it could be done much better (as I've mentioned previously in this thread... ie. the way Fulltilt ran their satellites was amazing and they were sooooo busy that there were many players who were playing mostly satellites... I actually knew some guys who were playing professionally back then just by playing low buyin satties). I believe they are running these in hopes of making the site better.... it just doesn't work well for me. Personally I'd change the structures around so that the M4M freeroll structures would be faster and the target satellite events slower & deeper (who wants to play for 4.5hrs. to get donked out off the bubble in a freeroll by someone who is absolutely ICM-clueless.... or win your ticket... but then find you're needing to just ship it in while in the higher buyin with zero room for any play whatsoever. It should be the other way around imo).

I'm finding the system LAGGY as f'ck today. It's never normally like this for me.

Yeah fair comment,i guess my point is the same i just view it a bit differently.If im going to slog away for hours to get say an $11 entry to the nxt phase,it should be at least the same starting stack as those buying in for $11.Considering its almost impossible to gain 20 starting stacks to match the nxt phase with so few sat players i feel its purpose built to wear players down and have them treading water in the next phase.Party does also have more regular structured sats which i enjoy very much,the ones in question are not fair on those playing them in my mind,and imo thats what makes it one these little tricks that add up to a huge difference in the long run.Only so many hours in a day.Gl anyway PokerOrifice hope to meet up at a FT soon lol with a little luck.

I just checked ALL of the $109 satties for MIllionsOnline for today and not one of them has a $22 FEEDER Satellite for them.
So my ticket says it's good for today (the morning) but it really isn't good for today because it looks like games for today do not exist. What a ridiculous schedule. You lost a customer for these satellites. They are good for folks who are on the site all day long every day of the week... and who don't mind getting thrown into a game that's running on Level14 where you get one hand to get it in with. < lol.. is that even poker? I'll take my chances elsewhere.... on tables where playing poker can actually get you a win (based on 'playing poker' lol).
