Despite that "wonderful promo", where from grinding the whole day I've got 10 tickets for some funny freerolls with a huge amount of players. And I can play only 3 of them max, which is ridiculous. But I don't mind as it a giveaway.
At least I proved myself, I'm still crushing SNGs even without any help of notes or HUD. Amazingly I did one of the best session in this month.
Nevertheless, I will name 17th of June is a Black Monday for PartyPoker, that will bury them and everything they made good last years. And will throw them far away from a big dream to become a poker room number 1.
How you come to this crazy idea at all?! Sorry, but I can't really find any sense in it. You will loose now all the regulars and pros, you probably will keep recreational players, who don't mind, because they don't take poker seriously. But will they play/pay rake enough to refund a huge loss that will come, after "the great migration of regs and pros" to play somewhere else! I believe 888 and
poker stars do already clapping in their hands.
This idea is simply "shoot in your own feet" for me. Why you ever need to do this?!
I want some reasonable explanation and not those senseless "to protect the players". You will NOT protect the players, you will harm them by forbidding downloadable hand histories!
And I will explain why.
In your own blog, PartyPoker reported that, for April 2019, “39 account closures in the month, 38.5% (15) were directly attributed to reports submitted by PartyPoker players.”
So you are going to say, you don't need any help anymore from players for finding the cheating and collusion cases?
And from now on, we have to "trust, but not verify"? I'm sorry, but I'm not so stupid, to believe in that fairy tales, that "
party poker Security Department can do everything on their own" if they couldn't before.
So now, for all of you guys, who think like "Wow! Cool! Now it will be much better, as those smartass regs can't use HUD anymore, so I would have a better chance to win against them!" It's just partly true, but in a fact most of the regs will be migrating somewhere else, because they are smart enough not to play at the
poker site, that doesn't provide enough security.
But instead of those regs, who using HUDs (a legal hand history database) and who actually also helped to keep security high on PartyPoker, using those databases to analyze patterns, which made it much easier to find the bots, cheaters and collusions. Well no it's gone and PartyPoker is not any more secure, as it been before. Now you may really expect there will be more bots, more cheaters and more collusions to be at the games, than ever before! Because nobody can report them anymore as we have taken away the only evidence we had - hand histories.
By disabling downloadable hand histories, PartyPoker basically said: "Welcome bots & cheaters! It will be much harder to find you from now on!"
And by the way, there are will be still some cheaters and more than ever probably who will be playing with "black" 3rd party tracking software with HUD, which doesn't need to use a legal way of collecting information, as hand history was. They will use screen scrappers for that, including EV calcs and based on it suggestions which line to use at those or another situation. PokerTracker or Holdem Manager or any other legal Trackers and HUDs never provide such cheating information for ethical reasons.
So even if you never used any HUD or don't mind to analyze your hands after your sessions, you don't win anything, you're just loosing. Because the guys who did it with their tracking software, was a big part of real security to fight against bots, teamplayers, and cheaters. Now they are gone.
So tell me what's the point of this? If you thought HUDs is a problem, you could forbid to PT4 or HM2 trackers to collect and give away some information. You could decrease information being written in Hand History, but to take them totally away is a huge mistake. This is the only tool and evidence we have, as players against not only bots and cheaters, but also against suspicious cases from poker site as well.
I can remind you for a minute some of the biggest cheating scandals in
online poker history involved poker site “insiders” (Ultimate Bet and Absolute Poker) cheating their own players. These cheating scandals were only detected because players had the ability to analyze hand histories and then reported their findings publicly.
I don't want to sound that I think PartyPoker will go the same way some day, but you basically tell me I shall "trust you, but not verify"! No thanks, how can I blindly trust any poker site after all those scandals happened.
We're have rights to have our hand history and it's way much more than just having HUD! We want to be secure. We want to work out our hands after session. Being able to post our hands for example on Cardschat's Hand Analyze section to talk about spots with each other in order to improve our game.
I'll personally be playing only freerolls on PartyPoker from now on, until you will bring back downloadable hand history. Period.
Which frustrates me a lot, as I loved your MTTs honestly and wanted to grind them more, but you give me no choice.
I still have a hope you will wake up from that delirium and change it back.
