This thread seems to be conflating the many legitimate issues with almost all of online poker and a confusing complaint about not being able to reset passwords. If you cannot manage to reset your password, then I am doubtful that all of the blame is on ACR.

Now, talking about overall security shortfalls and the cheating by collusion and bots, that would be something we should all be concerned about. Too bad there is nothing we can do about it until the federal government comes to its senses and allows US companies to operate online poker rooms inside the US, under reasonable regulations and oversight.

I have not been playing on ACR long enough to have had any problems with customer service, so I cannot speak to that. But in this environment of online poker, I really wouldn't be shocked by much of anything that the operators do to vacuum up a bit more money, including cutting corners in customer service and security. I'm just not sure how that is the same thing as someone having issues with resetting their password.

This sucks, some people in this thread don't give it the importance that it should. Thats no good, I think is a big deal. Some of you defend ACR saying just make a call, o no is a big deal. How would you feel if you can not enter to your account where you have X amount of money? Sucks right? There is a magic button to solve this, to reset your password. Why would not this button work? .. And if no work why takes a lot of emails to get help?

I also don't like to make calls to solve basic problems, I should have a solution by online chat in the first place, or by email in second place, i don't want to hear nobody to solve their problems

PokerStars is the only place I will ever deposit money to play.

i agree. the only thing i boast about the site is its freeroll tournys. but good luck trying to withdrawal. i will never put any deposit on any site any more. they make it next to impossible to tka eyour money out which is very frustrating

Okay, first of all this should have been a very easy fix, a password reset, but it turned into a complete fiasco and I had a hissy fit, no doubt, I deleted all forms of ACR from my computer and searched for other places to play, this past week I stayed away, but today I decided to download it again and wouldn't you know, same crap different day! Oh well.

Unbelievable that you'd start this thread in the first place. What is up with this? I feel bad for pokersites having to put up with insanity like this (& no doubt on a daily basis).
No wonder that support might be lacking at times on most sites... they need to allot so many man hours dealing with ridiculous stuff like OP's here (I lost my password!!! I'm going to tell the rest of the world just how terrible they are for me losing my password. And I'm not going to read through their re-set procedure.. instead I'm gonna flip out & go take a 10+ min. dump.

Then reading through the thread I see another poster saying they're going to strongly reconsider playing on ACR again. What? Really? Basing it on some crazy person's experience upon losing their password.

ACR Withdrawal policy is disgusting

Just thought I'd add to this thread as I was looking for anyone else unhappy with ACR.

After trying ACR for a month or so I decided to withdraw because there's just not enough traffic... too much waiting (for me in the UK anyway)....

So I go to withdraw my money and find there's no option to withdraw it back to the same bank account/debit card I used to make my deposit....

The deposit was easy...simple... but... getting money OUT is a nightmare! The live chat guy told me that ACR cannot process withdrawals to the same account used to make the deposit. My options are to either convert my funds to Bitcoin or have them send me a cheque! .... ok...I'll take a cheque...but....

... then he tells me cheques take over a month to arrive unless I pay $65 for FedEx. That has me angry for a start...ok I can wait ... but that's not all...

... When arranging to receive my withdrawal by cheque, I notice ACR's policy -

IMPORTANT NOTE: All checks issued by WPN must be cashed within 60 days of receiving them. Checks not cashed within 60 days will not process and funds will be forfeited permanently by the player.

I mean I'll obviously want to cash it quickly but...what if I forget? What if it's lost in the post and never arrives (imagine that conversation with ACR)? And aside from that, WHY? Why would it ever be lawful for anyone to keep (steal!) my money just because I didn't cash the cheque within 60 days? In the UK that is not lawful... it might be that a UK bank will reject a cheque older than 6 months (not 60 days) but even then that would not mean that the person issuing the check was legally allowed to keep your money!

I hope my post here serves as a warning to anyone considering opening an account at ACR. And I'd be interested to hear if any other UK players have had any issues (or good experience)

I will share the first and last email that I received with 20 in between that were useless that I won't bother with.


The last straw for me was them asking me for a list of answers to questions and then sending me another email after that saying they would need my phone number, no, you don't, when I signed up for this idiot site a phone number was not required. Why now, when I jumped through all of your stupid hoops multiple times would I want these morons to have my home phone?

This thread is a little old, but I'd still like to say that any site that gives you a toll-free number to call where you can get an actual person on the phone is worth its weight in gold, in my humble estimation.

I don't play ACR because their Mac software is too buggy. If not for that I'd love to play on a site that has phone support and a rep here on CC.

I joined ACR and then found them too pushy with trying to get me to deposit, same the other Nevada based online clients, that said - i see quite a few complaints about ACR on here - surely they cant be as bad as all that?
As far as 888 is concerned, i have nothing but love for that site as well as partypoker - pokerstars are lagging behind in my humble opinion, too much greed and too little promotions. Stars gives nothing for free..deposit bonuses are comical are i swear they tailor the bonus release on how much you normally deposit...

ACR is amazing. The only problem is the DDossing. Somtimes it's down for a couple of days. This is an e-mail password reset issue... dude don't get too worked up about things.

so here is my question... if you are attacked and then the user can not get in how can the user get paid for money lost since they can not ply. You do not see attempts because your gateway because you are down. You have a 90 sec wait timer and you CAN see no response plus you know you are under attack. Why not stop the game and refund rather than continuing. IMHO BTW there are router security apps out there to cut ddos from multiple sites. Seems u did not invest in them

Please Explain

ACR has one of the worst software algorithms I've ever experienced. Literally just favors big stacks and aggression with no real variance or odds. One can graph out the hands and see statistical outliers that do no represent the true game of poker whatsoever. It is a sad travesty. Many players seem to know this and can hit these cycles of algorithmic trash. (i've done it myself, jamming off on purpose with 38s for example and flopping flushes vs KK or AA etc) Players calling off stacks with 3Jo for no reason and hitting 4 card straights vs AA. These are either bots or people that have figured out the software because literally NOONE in their right mind plays this way...not to mention catching exactly what they need every single time. It is truly a joke. There is no real poker being played. Really. Graph out the hands...they literally come on cycles...same runouts...same holdings...same results...I tried emailing ACR with statistical DATA and they proceeded to blow me off. At this point I just play trashy jam and hope freerolls. Absolutely zero point in putting money onto this site when I can literally play one hand and get boned for no other reason than the algorithm. It really doesn't matter how 'good' one tries to play or make the right decisions. The software also does not allow one to 'trap' a bluffer either. The algos are line and stack dependent, it is pretty apparent on soooooo many levels. If you don't bet or raise when the program thinks you should, you WILL get screwed, it's inevitable. I can't be the only person that sees this? Seriously....graph out the hands...it is remarkable what you'll see pattern-wise.
