I'm not surprised about this. I would leave if it's a bad company to work for.

They seem to have cut most of the support already. Take days to even get a response.
Exactly my thoughts. I remember they answered in 2 weeks and answer was: respond to this letter or we will decide your case is solved.

job cuts are relating to their great decline, it seems that they are paying for their strategic misses

This is not very good news for those who lose their jobs.

Ok I understand that its population is only 84,000 citizens but it seems to me an exaggerated report by the Isle of Man Today, it is unfortunate that a person loses his job but so much scandal because 10 or 80 people lose their jobs. I agree that PS is not taking the best decisions in recent times but I think in this case it is justified, this is a business and sometimes you must make difficult decisions
And for me PokerStars is still the best online poker room.

For me, poker stars is and remains one of the leading poker rooms in the online poker gambling industry. There are, of course, connection failures and this leaves an unpleasant aftertaste. But all this is the best poker room at the moment.

It's not good for people to lose their jobs. PS would have to review its policy and strategy, especially in sports betting and the casino. The system crash the other day is a sign that they are in trouble.:cool:

Business always strives to get maximum profit, but now the time has changed and the operator's expenses are putting pressure on the company's budget.:icon_thum

This has been Stars concentration, they think they will make a better bottom line with Casino games, sports bets, and all of this can be much more automated without the need for much customer service. It is a shame but other Co.'s are stepping up.

Pokerstars are going downhill that's for sure. Instead of trying to be innovative and improve the poker experience, they are going in the other direction.

GG Poker are now getting more and more players , they are doing an excellent job and have one of the best/most advanced poker software on the market.

No wonder wsop chose GG over anyone else for the series this year.

Keep in mind too, this article was posted in September 2019.

How does someone revive a 'news' post that is over 1 year old & reply to it as if it is relevant??? sigh :(
Do members scroll back to the original post in a thread, to see what it actually about? :(
Yikes!

100% agree with you balo, and don't forget partypoker as well... and the WPT series that was run on there.
Will Pokerstars hold WSOP next year? I highly doubt it.

Their latest decision to implement Aurora Graphics with no option to disable it is another terrible one.
It makes you wonder what it would take for Pokerstars to turn things around...???
I'm shocked it has taken this long for them to lose their monopoly they held with online poker. It is one of the best things that has happened to online poker in a long time. Maybe I can look at their latest failings as something that is good for online poker on the whole.

Some older threads are ok to bump, providing the content is a continuing topic. Unfortunately, job loss is and will continue to be a current topic, but was hoping folks understood these possible job losses were not due to the coronavirus but is a result of the loss of revenue BEFORE the virus hit. Given online poker has been given a boost over the past several months, I have no idea if those jobs were actually lost in the end.
