Not being a financial US taxes expert, I just would like to add that total taxes and payments (from $42,7 million in online gambling/sports betting gross receipts in first ten days) to the state of Michigan by Jan.31 were $4,4 million (since Jan.22 noon).
My country can only dream about budgets like these.
Do Americans actually pay their gambling related taxes? I was always told that most people don't pay those, they just hide that money in cash illegally :D

While the States are gradually freeing regulations on using dope, it inches a long agonizingly legalising a simple pleasure for so many.
Probably the casino lobby making sure you use them.
What if all poker players had a ban on going to the casinos...?

I wish you could cross the border and play with the rest of the world! But, that will have to wait for at least another few months.

You know we will be looking for updates once you get to MI. :)
It's only a 3 day stay in a hotel room trip, but I will certainly try to remember :p
I'm getting there in time for the $50 8 game which I'm so excited about. And for sure I'm going to drop the largest amount I've ever dropped on an online tournament, the $300 main event.

It is about time the States started to open up and allow on-line Poker again, Why should players like Shaun Deeb have to move down to mexico so he can play in on-line tournaments and then contract Corona Virus while down there.
It is irresponsible of Governments to know things like this would happen and many of their top players are moving out of the States to other Countries where their hands are not tied.
Its not just the States either you have players like Mateos from Spain now lives and plays here in the U.K. Lamdropulos from Greece also now resides in the U.K. there are so many moving to Countries where there are fewer restrictions.
