I'm interested!
Right now I'm trying to find a good wallet for use on my Windows 7 computer. I would like to fund it with the least amount of service fees. I won't link a credit card nor a debit card and I have no desire to download more apps onto my phone.. but I can do a wire transfer. Are there other methods of funding that you are aware of? I've signed up with Blockchain and have Electrum but there are probably many other alternatives which I'm not aware of.
Any suggestions, links or pointers will be appreciated.
I do use Linux, Tor..etc..in case I need to use an operating system and tools that are more secure.
Cheers,
Poly
OK. I use Electrum too, version 3.3.8 on my Windows 7 pc. Be very careful and only download any updates from the Electrum.org site. I got my wallet emptied by using an update that showed up during a transfer. I buy my btc from coinbase, but that takes KYC and bank info so maybe not for you. You can buy btc from an btc/atm if you have one near you, though the fees are outrageous imo. Recently heard that
paypal will be using btc, but again you are dealing with KYC. I tell people to look in their area for someone to sell them btc for cash. People will trade you
pokerstars for btc, some will trade ACR cash for btc. Go to swcpoker.eu and get into the chat. Look for someone to sell you chips (site uses only btc so chips = btc). Venmo will shut you down for trading in btc currently. Circle is cheap but uses KYC. localbitcoins is a crap shoot, might get burned. Good luck and let me know if you find any good places to buy.
