What do you do while playing poker?

I play poker and observe the players' reactions at the table. Lately, I've been enjoying listening to New Age music while playing poker.

I find music or watching anything would distract me from the game. Is it really possible to fully concentrate on 2 things at the same time and not make any mistakes? From my experience, it's not.

If i'm not watching TV then I have to be listening to music. I am pretty sure the majority of people are completely opposite from me, but what do you guys do?

Noise distracts me, but sometimes I listen to music, in the background, very quietly, and I also listen to the news quite often lately.

I like to play and eat something tasty. Tasty food helps me concentrate on the game better. Now I live alone and I cook for myself, sometimes I'm lazy, then I don't cook and order something. If I am playing a serious game that I need to completely focus on...I am surfing the net/listening to music/posting here or watching a movie/series on one monitor and the poker on my other one.

I think people do what works for them and there is not one way that works for everyone.

Most of the time, I drink beer and watch either the news or soccer. Now, for example, when the soccer championship is on, I don't actually miss a single match, I watch every match, sometimes I watch replays or cuts of interesting moments.

definitely block out ambient noise and focus on the game in front of me, i may take the occasional note if i see something out of line or obvious but generally stick to solid decision making.
Music is always on - mood led and time of day and all that - i also make time to have enforced breaks even out of scheduled poker breaks, i find that important.
