if you want poker to be your only income, you should consistently win at least 1000 dollars every month, if you don't win that much, it's better to go and work at a normal job
I used to make that much in the early 2000s by just showing up the local resort on Friday and Saturday nights during peak hours and mostly just playing tight pre-flop (it wasn't enough to make a living back then). These online games are much harder. The way I see it right now, it's best to use online play to improve play, make a small amount of money, and then using the improved skills in live games where fish are easier to find.

All players who have not won a large amount of money hope that one day will be their luck! This thought is what makes them play all the time, but making money from poker is hard for the many and easy for those who have a capital already made from poker.

Compared to live poker, I see that the opportunities and methods in online poker are more available, whether to win or lose money. As we know, winning and earning some money weekly or monthly is not an easy thing, and since luck is an integral part of the game of poker, we have no choice but to accept the result.
We may strive and win, or we may strive and unfortunately also lose.
1 good luck to everyone;)

Unfortunately, nowadays,it is more difficult to make your dreams come true.In my case, I would be very happy if I could win (and withdraw) some extra money every month.

As a somewhat "older player" (I will not share my exact age, even if my gray hair does! ;)) I remember the golden age of enormous poker fish tanks online. It seemed that poker was so easy to beat online. Playing NLH almost felt like printing money. And online Omaha was perhaps even easier to win.

Now as we near the end of 2024, I find myself wondering if there is still a way to beat this game. What do you think? Can online poker still be beatable and profitable?
I think poker can be profitable if you are ready to devote enough time to it. As for me, you need to play at least 6-8 hours a day and spend another 2-3 hours studying, analysing the game, and working on your mistakes. If you approach this issue seriously and purposefully, poker can definitely become a source of income.

I think it's still possible but you need more patience and work than a few years ago. Bots are also getting better on the Internet and cannot be immediately recognized by poker operators.

Wherever there is a lot of money, there is always fraud.
You must be aware of that.

The regulations in many countries also make it very difficult. In germany, you would have to be able to generate 3,000€ in profit in order to live from it and be able to earn a living.

In my opinion it’s going to be tough for the people who can only afford to play low stake. But for the people who’s playing high stake I think they have a higher chance of making a living, if they’re good enough of course.

Hard way to make an easy living sounds about right. Easy in the way that you can just work from home at whatever time you feel like. But it's stressful and hard, and getting harder...

There is no easy money, especially in disciplines in which there is a factor of luck
