Two three times . Nowadays I don't pay attention to chat when I play . It's one more needless distraction. The pace of gameplay is very fast , no need for extra delays or distractions . Wherever possible I mute chat while I play.

There are different players. And although it's unpleasant to hear insults in your address, you shouldn't pay attention to such things, it's better to just focus and win the tournament. This will be the best punishment for all opponents, including those who are not quite adequate

Quite simple - switch chat off or report to support on the respective platform.

Have some class - poker is full of bad beats and variance, no one has the perfect hand before the cards are dealt and even post flop as we all know, it can often go wrong.
Respect the opponent and yourself.

Of course, I've been insulted in chat.
There were things I reported, but most of the time I didn't.
Most of the time I just laugh at it or write "thank you", which usually knocks them out of the game.

I never pay attention to criticism, but I will not tolerate insults either. If someone insults me, I can respond or even take a screenshot and send it to the support team of the poker site.

Well, I always leave the chat closed and turn off the animations, because they make me lose concentration. If someone has ever insulted me, I don't know.

I'm no angel. I swear at players but mainly under my breath or silently in my head, and NEVER in the chatbox 'to their face'.

IMHO insulting people in the chatbox only shows that the insulter is an annoying loser. Poker is about controling your emotions not about shoving it in others' faces through the chat.

Yet I have noticed those same players are very quick to tilt themselves with a few well directed comments. Those who dish it usually can't take it. However this is only online and it's been a couple years since I did any real online playing.

In general, if any unethical or racist violations occur against any player, the administration must be notified, and the poker room administration is obligated and responsible to take the necessary measures against the erring player.

Likewise, bully players are essentially bullied in their lives and in the environment in which they live. It is a disease, a lack of respect, and a lack of competitive spirit.

I never once complained, the insults and bad words that maybe haunted me for a while. Now each one depends on what environment they are surrounded by, being for each a different effect. I've been playing on pokerstars for years and for certain reasons (besides being polite to say hello when I enter the table, I didn't use the chat)I always had problems with the Italians (I'm Romanian) they are big bastards having to deal with my whole family😀 and then my Hungarian neighbors who flaunted the world's richest swearing vocabulary, believe me no one can match them .The problem was that I understood them 🤬🤣🤣. Now I ignore 99% of the chat.

I have already suffered several insults and I always ignore them, most of the time they are players trying to steal my patience and angry because they lost a big pot. I just give them smiles back.

I have encountered this many times on the computer in the chatboxes but never at a live game. Its Poker etiquette to say nice hand even though deep down I want to say what the hell was you doing in there with that 75 off suit. Every one has a reason for playing a hand I do it myself with strange hands people shouldn't get so mad. It took me years personally to not be angry at bad beats but now I find it hilarious every single time I get shafted.

I also think that the behaviour of players or their failure to follow the rules of conduct during the game is the responsibility of the poker sites. Players who insult others deserve at least a disqualification for a certain period of time.
