We all know that the transgressions of some players with cursing, harsh insults, and racism in online poker have become easy for this type of player.
Has this happened to you before?
Did you exchange insults, or did you just watch or inform the administration?
In general, if any unethical or racist violations occur against any player, the administration must be notified, and the poker room administration is obligated and responsible to take the necessary measures against the erring player.

To each his own, but there is no place for this type behavior in poker.

Thus, it is my suggestion to just ignore their comments and play your game without playing into their hands. It is difficult to argue and actually win by arguing with a fool or someone acting like a fool. Nothing good results from a "tilt" nor with emotional play in poker. :)

My best to you, Wally

I never engage with this kind of behavior, just let it go. It's easy to implement software that automatically detects abusive chat and there is no point getting yourself muted or banned along with the offender.

Normally, Russians and Ukrainians are terrible losers... I have had verbal exchanges with them at the table, and also with Mexicans and Brazilians.

Yes, how many more times, but for me it is insignificant because I consider that those players who insult, do this work only with the aim of distracting me from the game. As long as I do not respond to their insults, they will get bored of making these gestures. .Of course just online.

I have chat switched off, so I can't see what anyone is saying, whether it's about me, to me, or to anyone else.

I just get in the zone, play my game and listen to my tunes.

On the other hand, I'll talk to anyone here.

So the answer is, 'I don't know and I definitely don't care'.

@AzdajaD - did you insult me when I called your KQ all in with my AK a couple of months ago? :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

I'm no angel. I swear at players but mainly under my breath or silently in my head, and NEVER in the chatbox 'to their face'.

Yes but it was years ago, and I think, its a much smaller problem, than it used to be. It also depends on, what games you play. The lower stakes, the more people are unable to control themselfes on average.

I think that players who insult others should be held accountable for this and in my opinion it should be a ban, for example, for 1 year. This would be a fair punishment. I've never reported to the administration of poker sites because I think it's a futile exercise, but I've taken screenshots in our CardsChat tournaments several times and brought this information to the attention of our administrators, who have their own good methods against such players.

Poker is a social game. Remember the main rule of poker etiquette: first the game, and everything else later.Don't pay attention to the insults. No matter how much they say that poker is a sport, poker is first and foremost a game for money, and everyone here plays for money and for the sake of money. It is necessary not only to learn the rules of the game, but also the rules of conduct at the poker table.

Of course I was insulted! Both in chat and with animated items. But I realize it's just a tactic for someone to get me off balance. I used to react to it, but I started to focus only on poker.

If it bothers you then can't you turn to the stats menu? or mute them? If you're playing online and don't know anyone at the table that might be another reason to color code folks so you know if they're decent ppl or just turn off the chat.

If you're playing live then its best to just swallow your pride and ego and say nothing or say "I would play the hand the same way in your shoes" if they do something like show you because most of the time you do not know who you're playing against.

As for the bold online players then just ignore them.

They're venting their frustrations from their unrealistic expectations of the game. Just ignore them.

I've done it in my lifetime so I can't get on a soap box lol, i would be a big hypocrite.

But I understand its a bad thing to do to other players.

Now, I would either turn off the chat or just don't play with folks because the games just weren't worth getting frustrated over.

lol how many times do I have to see all ins with small pairs or any random hand like QJ from early position with a TON of BBs early in a tourn or a bunch of sitouts or you name the silly nonsense. Its not worth getting upset about.

Of course, I, like most of you, have encountered players who behaved inappropriately and insulted others. I certainly consider such behaviour unacceptable and deserving of an appropriate response from the site administration. Nevertheless, I rarely pay attention to the chat because I try to concentrate on the game all the time.

Yes it is, online...but, never in live game!

If this happends in CC games, screenshots and send it to our Masters of the CC Universe!❤
Unfortunately, I saw this with my own eyes in live . He was a french person who was a bully and provocative to the point that he exchanged insults with several players and was removed from the hall due to his bad behavior, even though he was a daily customer.
But if you are talking about replaypoker, then it is good, and I did not notice any cursing at all or even provocation.

I think that when you play online poker you are going to meet players from all countries in general, with professional, regular and recreational people, and also players who have these skills, but in my case I have never been insulted at a table, but yes They have sent angry emoticons.

I started playing online poker quite sometime ago, ....really don't think there is anything I haven't seen in the chat, ....anyone seriously playing poker isn't worrying about the chat, mainly it just shows who's easily tilted👍

Online I don't have chat turned on zero need for it till the final table and discussing a deal. All animations/throwables turned off as well.

Live sure but it always ends up very poorly for the rude, arrogant clown. Because I'm mentally tougher and have a lot more tilt control than 90% of human race. Words simply don't hurt me cause IDGAF what anyone says and whatever it is I've been already called worse by better many times. I've also was brought up to treat people how they show me they deserve to be treated. So everyone gets a free show and entertainment on how handle rude, arrogant clowns at the table. All such people do is give me more desire, drive, will and a never quit attitude to take every dime they own.

Cheers!!!

Only on PokerStars though not usually directed at me. Usually when someone loses a big pot to an even bigger underdog. No surprises there.

Some of us who played online before the "woke era" remember totally uncensored chats. That could get pretty ugly fast. Death threats were one of the mildest forms of communication.

In Live poker, you have to be careful as things can escalate pretty fast, especially if you are playing at other places than official casinos. I tried to not start any trouble, but several things have happened since I started playing Live several decades ago that I wish could be undone.

Luckily I don't have to risk anything important anymore since I now almost exclusively play nano-stakes online for fun with the chat off most of the time. (All Casinos near my town are closed and the "underground" clubs are packed with criminals.)

I can even go to Play Money tables, especially if they are the only ones offering different games than NLH and PLO.

No reason or excuse to be upset and insult players at any level of course - but especially not if you don't play for any real money: like under 10NL/PL, freerolls, and Play Chips.

Its crazy, how upset some people can get about losing a few dollars. I have pointed that out multible times in microstakes tournaments. Like "hey dude, we are playing for $3.3 here, so calm yourself down".

Yep I've been around that long and remember the good ole days. Guy's use to really go off the deep end players now days have no idea what abuse really is lol. Today's chat is tame by comparison as I rarely see hardly any chat bubbles(I keep the chat window shut). Can still see the bubbles if I manage to catch them while multi-tabling.

Live I only play at the local casino and at a buddy's for fun really low stakes home where it's close buddy's I've known for years. Not a single douchebag and all good respectful guys.

Also being 6'4, 240lbs that can look mean as a rattlesnake(really just a big teddy bear) and in decent shape makes not many guys wanna stand up and head outside. Have had a few ask over the years. Once we get standing up thou villain cools down, sits back down and typically plays one more orbit before traying his chips and leaving lol. Which is why I don't play much live as I just wanna have a good time and a fun night out and there always seems to be at least one rude, arrogant jerk around at the local casino.

Cheers!!!
