The future of poker development in my opinion indirectly depends on the regulation of governments and sponsors, but poker will always be on top and the collapse of some global online poker room and innovations in artificial intelligence tools will not affect the gaming process.

I belive poker is in an ok postion.

But not at the level it was 5 to 10 years ago.

I think for poker to become stronger going forward for all markets being able to participate in the same player pool.

Because a global player pool would help exponentially i belive.

I think that over time, artificial intelligence will influence the world of online poker, but still the classic type of online poker will remain the same as it is today. It's like with music that was recorded in the 80-90s or films that were shot at that time. Many years have passed, technology and special effects have gone many steps forward, but even the modern generation of young people listen to and watch works of 30 years ago and enjoy it. Because before everything was done with soul. I think the same will happen with poker, many innovations will try to introduce into this area, maybe poker rooms will be transformed in terms of interface or some additional features, but I think there should be no global changes, at least in the near future. I can't say more specifically, because I'm not a programmer and I don't know what new things can be invented here), in general, we will live and observe, and try to keep up with the times).

Everything remains roughly the same the next few years.
Analytical tools are at their peak now I don't see any new ground breaking tools or technology happening soon.
The major challenges remain the same. Poker rooms fighting off regulation and laws to stay open to certain regions. Attracting new players to game.

I would love to see all states allow online poker. We already have online sports everywhere. Why not poker, and I agree that software to assist anyone should be outlawed.

The future of online poker well that's a tough one to call now that in some places the government are getting in on the action . Here in Ontario canada we can only play people from Ontario which sucks, maybe it will get better i have my doubts.

In my opinion, ideally, poker is a game for competitive people who are better at calculating their odds. Online poker is only an opportunity to play from home due to the Internet. There will always be people who will appreciate the opportunity to compete fairly without the use of artificial intelligence. The competition of people, not machines, that's what will always be interesting to most people. In short, classics will always be in trend.

The future is VR..
One of the main things that VR does in online casino play is that it makes the gaming experience more attractive to players. In comparison to traditional online casinos that are very convenient, the punter may often be isolated. Online gamblers do not have an environment in which they can meet other people and enjoy the surroundings of the physical casino. VR makes it possible for virtual casino users to recreate the casino environment.

Online poker, as several members here at CC have said, will never end, and regarding the future of online poker, the issue of AI worries me because many people could use it to cheat in the game, currently online poker is in decline and I believe it will continue in this way, as there is a lack of transparency in poker rooms, players are no longer able to be profitable and the interest in dedicating hours to a tournament is no longer what it used to be, the only ones who can save online poker from The decline is the rooms themselves, with more transparency, opportunities and not end freerolls like these rooms have been doing.

I think that soon 'Virtual Reality' will be offered more and more on poker platforms. On the one hand, it is certainly an interesting experience, but on the other hand, I am not a big fan of this development that humanity is increasingly heading towards.

As far as AI-supported tools are concerned, the hypothesis: "AI leads to the downfall of online poker!" probably describes what I am at a loss for words for. Unfortunately:(!

It’s hard for me to judge in which direction online poker will develop and whether it will, the main thing is that there is an opportunity to play in principle, at least in the form it is now.

As long as it is human, there will be online poker. The future of humanity is questionable, a flood is coming for the umpteenth time in Earth's history. Every human being should take care of that.

Good afternoon. The only thing I know is that the exciting online poker will never disappear. However, with the use of AI more people will start to lose money unless they play only freerolls.I really hope that can´t ruin this beautiful game in the future.

I think with the development of artificial intelligence it will be difficult to play online poker honestly. More and more bots will appear

I think in the future with AI evolving it will be anything goes! Build your bots and see who’s the best! You still have to write the script!

One day I see legislation happens to legalize and regulate online poker games on whole world. People will play online in your rooms different poker variants in form of avatars and holograms and with virtual tables. Just like live poker. "Virtual room" in my house will change during tourney...people go from and new people come to tables. Quality of this art of play will be very good..Deposits and payouts happen without problem from all of the world..... I'm dreamer now...but that is future.....

With all the controversy and 'bad news' we had lately(bots, rake increase, ban of top pros/ high stakes winning players...), I see that Online poker is still growing every day... of course that there are players that are fed up with it and will quit but others will come to replace them and this is in general how it goes in all areas of life...

Also, I totally agree with many members that posted about the gap between good players and the new players/ recreational that is wider than ever and if we want the golden years of online poker back, sites need to ban the use of 3rd party tools and all players should have the same access to stats and other info- offered by the poker site...

Anyway, IMO, as long as we'll have Internet- online poker will never disappear!

I think
One thing we can see already. People are fed up with sites that allow the use of third-party tools. In my view that is why we are seeing the decline of Stars and why a site like GG is increasing its foothold.

There is no fun in playing on a site where the full time semi-shark has your tendencies in his database - unless you use the same tools yourself.

Future of online poker requires leveling the playing field by disallowing the tools that give an edge to those who seek it, and it should be in the best interest of poker sites to follow this path.

However, the development that we have seen in the game during the past couple of decades is partially driven by the rules we still have in place. Allowing the use of sophisticated tools has increased the "arms race" and in exchange increased our overall understanding of poker. But this poses also a problem.

The gap between good players and those who are just finding poker is wider than ever. If we ever want to see the golden years of poker to return we need a site where the only tool that a player can use - is his brain.
I think disallowing use of tools that gauge everyone's play is sane, if say some can buy and some can't afford to. But if a site has say statistics on every1s play in a game I think thats absolutely fine - as long as it's the same for everyone. But, always its your choice so if play on the site that allows the use of a tool to track a players tendencies over their history then you're making a conscious decision to so that's fine, your choice. If you don't like it, there's plenty of poker sites where use of such tools is not allowed so those people can use them. 😉

Experience has shown me that EVERYTHING goes out of favour eventually, and something else takes its place. But I have no idea what that might be. It's not impossible that all countries could ban online poker. If the land of the free - and the worlds' greatest democracy - can do it, than anything can happen.
