Use to live near Tampa casino. Lots of fun and challenges. Online poker is, to me, a different game with the same rules. No matter which is played I will always believe lady luck has an advantage over skills. A good argument supporting this is why doesn't the same folks wind up on top each year in WSOP tournaments. So... I believe skills, knowledge, etc. still play a good part but luck is a huge factor. So... when playing online, I focus on building my stack with the hands that have had the best win % with. If I lose, well, I lose. I played one of my best hands. I approach online as luck is in the other person's favor and my only chance is to play the hands I win the most with. God luck with your games!

Thx bro, good luck u too! ;)

I do for the most part

As to the provider of services? Yes. I SWEAR though ACR which is WPN - seems to throw more straights at me.

I do like ignition the most though, but I trust the ones I play at.

HOWEVER - the players ? It is very easy for collusion to happen.

I like Zone poker at Ignition because you never know who the other people are - it is impossible for people to collude on Zone poker.

But even with people colluding, I'm still likely going to play how I'll play, but no doubt if you have 2 or 3 people working a table, it CAN influence you, I expect I've been at tables or tournaments where there is collusion happening.

You don't get opportunity for poker tells I suppose. Short of how long people wait - to create that sense of 'I'm thinkin' about it I'm thinkin' about it'.

One argument would be any company that would cheat knowingly has a short shelf life on their business model, it just won't be in their interest to do so - they'd lose their business.

NOW - as to rules on withdrawals - I've seen some sites that require you to just run around the entire planet 6 times, then walk 25,000 miles backwards, then demonstrate human flight without a machine, then discovery a 4th primary color and then for a $2000 withdraw fee- you can withdraw... heh

Happens on a lot of sites, it only holds you back from investing larger amounts of money there. It's ok if it happens occasionally, but not a lot.

PokerStars. Hmmmmm

PokerStars Hmmmm. I’ve played poker on PokerStars for approx 15 years. £5 to £10 games. Not retiring money stakes etc.
I like the set up of the site and the software, tried a few other sites. Don’t like them as much.
One thing I know to be true about this site is when you put a brand new account on there with new persons details, bank accounts and deposit and start playing you get a mammoth totally unbelievable run of non stop good luck for ages. You can make a packet. I’ve opened 3 new accounts on there in different peoples names, girlfriend, son etc.
It’s happened every single time.
A ludicrous very long win streak until however you cash out then a freeze up. The best you can do is break even but the hallelujah win streak is over and never to be seen again. Three times. They like to give new account holders this gigantic run of luck in my opinion to get them hooked and to think there’s always a chance that will happen again. From this perspective there dodgey. No ifs or buts.
All I can say is put a new account on, total new details new address.
Never use any old bank accounts linked to any of your passed no luck PokerStars accounts, don’t cash out and good luck. See what happens.
I’ve got no other persons details I can use now or I’d be going for 4th time round and never cash out until you’ve made as much as you want to make
Good luck.

What are you all's opinions on America's Card Room? I've heard a lot of good things about them. They've been around since 2001.

NOT AT ALL but then again I dont trust anything, especially online poker. Seen too many screwy things that have never happen in real life poker, (and ive played a lot of real life poker) for me not to think something was fishy.

The mistrust of online poker does not exist for bad beat, that is when you lose having the best set of cards in hand. The suspicions arise due to the situations present at the tables, when a certain player wins all the time in the cash gamer; When you are at the tables and always gets the tables cards repeatedly in various hands; When you have a good hand and another player goes all in front of you with a card much worse than yours, just to get out of the moves. Among all suspicions of manipulation of the games is very difficult to prove any thing, now we can observe that in the cash gamers the players every day are the same

I know it’s easy to blame the online sites for losing and suckouts but I truly feel that the online poker sites would be doing themselves a huge disservice if any impropriety was taking place. The sites make the same off every entry, therefore why would they care who won. I’ve seen free roll players screaming rigged. LoL would be laughable to rig a freeroll. I do believe that bots and computer assistance is running rampant.

Bots are in poker rooms...theres no doubt about that....just accept the fact that a human will outplay a bot in the long run...

Pokerstars are one of the most aggressive rooms trying to stop usage of bots and illegal programs. Once i had installed equity calculator on my pc and started pokerstars client. At this time equity calculator was not even running. It was just installed but the client detected it, shutdown itself and i received email asking me to uninstall it and confirm that i will not do that again. After that i could use the client again.

Regarding the bad beats - up to now my history is rather symmetric with approximately equal quantity of bad beats against me and in my favor. Of course we can never be sure but in general i trust pokerstars and the other regulated sites allowed in my country.

Online poker is not rigged. I trust in online poker. Its just that more hands are played its a faster pace than live is why you can see crazy hands more often.

I heard the term "suck-out" was coined because on the site of each Pokerstars server there is a massive gloryhole annex where donkeys can GO to make miracles happen. No matter how bad I run I'm never gonna sink that low. You hear me Pokerstars engineers...NEVER!!

If I trust because I am playing with real people from all over the world, the bad thing is when the software starts to fail and the internet falls out.

Partly right. Partly wrong. The WSOP has over 8,000 entrants. if you review the results, the best players over the years, do finish higher than the amateurs. There are many skilled players. They all face the same odds when the cards are dealt. They make the right play for the situation, but get beat by the odds or succeed based on the odds. Some people call that luck. Yes and No. It is simply a mathematical outcome.
