Don't worry. I was kidding about the Spin & Gos. No way I'm ever playing those. Isn't variance much more higher in MTTs than cash games btw?

So glad you were kidding about that :D Yea I believe variance is higher playing Mtt's. I got so used to the Mtt's for playing so many freerolls when I first joined up that I just can't get into cash games.

I prefer to increase more till you reach $50. From there, you can play now and apply strict BRM.

I've made 10 dollars in 2 months playing freerolls on Pokerstars. Should I start playing cash games now or continue to play tournaments until I get my bankroll up a bit more?

I think sit and go turbo with 9 players its a good call!

Yeahh spin and go is not a good place to put your cash even if you had 1000 dolares

I would seriouusly avoid the Spin and Go's.

You have earnt $10 playing freerolls so don't waste any $$ on a gamble.

I started playing just freerolls, and now have healthy BR's on 3 sites. I would play the $0.25 Mtt's and move up to $0.50 when you hit the $20 mark. With you being able to play on PS the fishies (world) are at your feet :D

I would not go anywhere near 2nl with a $10, wait till you have at least $40 if you wiah to play cash game, I personally prefer Stt's/Mtt's to cash games, but that's me :) For Mtt's I would use the 40x BI rule of if you want to be a BI nit like me then go for the 100x BI rule.

GL :)

we US players wish we could play on 'stars ; even grinding freerolls would seem a blessing . I would recommend entering free tourneys on other poker sites as well gklcap, since you seem to have found a nice niche .

I can't play on most sites since lot of them don't provide their services in india. Till now, I've only been able to open accounts on 888 and pokerstars.

I really don't see the point to these posts of "get a job"

OP has not mentioned that he wants to make a living playing poker, he has asked a question of what he should be playing with a $10 BR and it seems to me he is doing if for a FUN challenge.

So let's give him the advice he asked for without the snidey comments!

Lol. I don't WANT to deposit. Why are people having a hard time grasping that? And, as I've already mentioned to someone else, I'm a student who doesn't have the time for a job. Anyway, even if I were to find a part time job, it really wouldn't pay much. Maybe around 100$ a month.

With $10 you should be playing only freerolls and 2c hyper turbo 990 player SnG's. These hyper turbo SnG's will be easy for you with all your freerolling experience and will go quickly if you multi-table.

The 990 man SNG fills up so slowly that it's pretty much impossible to multi-table. Either way, I don't think that will teach me any dynamics of SNG play. Because tons of people are calling with ATC into multiway pots and hoping to suckout.

There are many differences between freeroll and cash game.
Specially some freeroll player prefer All-in , then the winer can gain lots tokens suddenly. Cash player always doubt more at preflop.

Keep building your bankroll at the freerolls. The amount to be won at the 10, 25 cent tournaments is paltry given the time consumed. Also players at these levels are super crazy and cause bad habits in your play. The CC freerolls are much better payouts and quicker to play while learning better habits. Get your bankroll above $25 then start the 50 cent tournament if u want. Still crazy players but not as bad and payout a bit better. You really want to be playing at least the $1 tournaments so about $50 bankroll minimum.

I personally enjoy the 1.50$ 18 player sng's when I put my 10$ on. Built a little roll multiple times that way.

I'd suggest continuing to play Freerolls or maybe take a shot at a .25c tournament. Other that that you're pretty much risking it.

Hello, keep playing Freerolls until you reach $ 50 as you say you will never invest, then if you try to play tournaments:)

I don't think the guy who posted this question has been on this forum in 5yrs.
I'm guessing that $10 is long gone. (or it's $10,000)

I saw many challenges where professionals built bankrolls from $ 10 to 5k and even 10k! Therefore, nothing is impossible! Only one thing, but they were all pros! But if there is a desire and an opportunity (in the sense of free time) why don't you try it! And you better play the cheapest MTTs (because tournaments and cash are different types of poker) Good luck!
