So apparently this is an issue with the Android app. I would encourage you to use the site through your web browser instead. We're having issues with the developer of the app keeping it updated, so until we get new apps created, using the site on the web browser is recommended.
Thank you. I will try that. Gotta love ever changing technology!

Thanks for the reply.

In the PDF on the top of page 47 in the grey part there is this line:

Code:
Rule of Thumb: If you’re getting 20:1 or better implied odds, (at least) call
with a pocket pair pre-flop.
When i change 20 to 1 to % its 4,76%,
and when i change 21 to 1 to % its 4,54%
So to me that sounds like i should call pre-flop when i have 4,76% ore less.
But maybe I should just forget this one line of text from the PDF

Greeting

What it is suggesting is >>> You need effective stacks to be at least 20x the size of the bet in order to set mine.
ie. If we're both sitting with 5,000 chips, blinds 50/100 Villain opens to 250. Here we'd have the implied odds to be set-mining in this spot (personally I go with 15 to 1 vs. 20:1 .. but it depends).
Even though your chance of flopping a set is 8-to-1, we need stacks to be greater than 8x due to all of the times we don't stack them when we do hit our set.

Something I was looking for

Hi guys!

As I wrote in welcome post I stopped playing poker in 2016. I was a CC member in past and I learn here a lot :)

Now I would like to go back to the game and I'm sure this course will help me refresh my poker knowledge and learn even more.

How much time do you spend for learning poker and playing?

Am I right i should play less for a while and spend more time to increase my knowledge? I mean a person who knows a bit but didn't play for few years.

I hope my post is good quality and sorry for my english. Just started with this course so i can't say more about it.

I will let you know how it's going with it.

Thanks for opportunity and for the people who made it. A lot of work, great job!

Welcome back then :)

You should obviously devote some time to study. But at the end of the day poker is also very much a "learning by doing" experience, so its important to find a good balance. If you spend more time to study than play, you will learn a lot of theory but maybe not truly understand it or know, how to actually use it at the tables.

The poker course is excellent and as a returning player, i was able to take my time albeit i completed it in a few days as i have time off work and was able to read the book alongside it and also apply many of the theories and principles to live play, its a must complete for all members in my opinion and will teach many players who think they have a complete game - new concepts!
Excellent training material from CC as ever!

I've taken a few weeks of this course, and I can say that it's honestly pretty awesome. I have consumed a lot of poker education content over the years, so I selected weeks with concepts that I wanted to develop further or wasn't familiar with. Interesting insights from the two teachers on how to play microstakes MTTs. I think if a friend of mine with a little bit of experience wanted advice on how to learn, I would probably recommend this course.

Hi all! I went through a 30 day video tutorial and it seemed to me that it was not enough to take an additional book from my teacher named Evan!I'm not stupid, I just need information!

The course is definitely good. You just get tired of translating. I try to read, watch videos about the game. But so far my results are not very encouraging. Probably a lot depends on your nature and thinking. Of course, you need to study, but you must initially have a thread for the game.
