Yes... It makes me consider that I should be doing it for bigger money, and on a more regular basis... My only problem, is that I hate to lose... I hate to lose in such a way, that I have quit playing live poker for a year, after losing 800 bucks in a day...
this was following 2 consecutive days of 2000+ gain.
I'm am the cheapest, stingiest person ever!

since i started playing during the poker boom in the mid-late 2000s, i've won more than i lost. same goes for live games. i'm also more mature emotionally so i don't go on tilt. i'm also smart about bankroll management and taking shots at higher levels only when it makes sense

I've got some profit. But not enough to justify time spent playing now that I've got wife and kids. I usually play MTTs, which require quite some time and you may end up wining little to nothing for deep runs. It's a slow grind for which I just don't have enough time as of lately. Now if I were to win a big one like $100k that would make life much easier :captain:

It's difficult to put a monetary value on experience or on simply enjoying to play the game. In poker there is a learning curve so it is to be expected to lose some money as you get better. I mean, on this site you will likely have answers from recreational players who play poker for fun. If they lose, they lose an amount of money they could afford losing. If they win, it's not life changing money. The pros that make money from poker are staked. They play other people's money and keep a part of the profits.

I gained more than I lost.

I play poker for almost 1 year, when I started playing the amount of my deposit was $ 10 and did not last even 2 hours, I was seizing, studying and today I am winning more than losing.

I'm being profitable on the 90st pokerstars sit go's, which has a blind raise of 15 minutes and is worth $ 0.25.

The first few years I lost a lot more than I won. However, after reading a few books and learning from my mistakes and playing live I now make more than I spend. I have learned to leave the table if I have an unusually bad run of cards and to cool off after my bad beats.

I have only played with real money casually for about a year. Realistically deposited I would guess about $300 tops. And I have won back about $100-150. So I have lost at most $200. I plan to keep better track of the data.

I think i loose more, then i win. Especially when i was trying to play high limits some years ago. I was playing poker really bad in that days, so for sure in total i loose more then i win.
