I don't have children, but I do have a dog. I don't think she should start playing poker, although maybe it's not such a bad idea. The dog would play poker, earn money, and I would just travel the world and develop.
Hello.😃😃😃 Maybe you should leave him in the comments because maybe he was more sociable and maybe if he signs up for a tournament he'll earn you some... good achievements.

I also discussed some things about poker and approach with my eldest son, there is nothing wrong with that, it is perhaps even constructive, he is passionate and at the beginning. For a while he was wasting his time like dealer in many clandestine organized games but that's not a bad thing...he had many examples to learn from.

I have an 8-year-old son, and we have a poker set at home that he loves to play with—he enjoys handling the chips. He has already tried playing poker with me and his mom, and he’s seen me play online poker as well. He’s starting to show some interest, but I think it’s too early for him to dive into poker seriously at this age. As a simple card game played with chips (without money involved), it’s fine for fun and learning the basics. But for now, I believe it’s better to focus on the game as entertainment rather than anything competitive.
My youngest son is 4 years old, we haven't discussed poker with him yet)

Children aged 18 can decide for themselves whether to play poker.

Maybe I'm not going to teach my grandson how to play poker. But I'm sure to tell him about all the rocks you can fill your nose with in poker.

If my son likes playing poker, then I don't mind him playing, and I'll teach him everything I can.

Teaching your son to play poker can be a good idea if approached responsibly and with the right intentions. Poker can help develop valuable skills like critical thinking, emotional control, risk assessment, patience, and strategic decision-making. However, it's essential to emphasize that poker is a game of skill with elements of chance, and it shouldn't be seen as a primary way to make money. Make sure to teach proper bankroll management, the importance of separating poker from gambling, and the potential risks of addiction. If done in a healthy and balanced manner, it can be an engaging way to bond and instill life skills.

I'm a profitable player however, poker is an area that requires a lot of dedication and study and sometimes it's the point where I get lost, related to money management so I don't think I was successful,
In terms of my children playing, I think the ideal would be for them to study at a university and graduate, but rather introduce them to poker by teaching them a level of knowledge. But I think that poker continues to be an area that you must dedicate yourself to full time to be successful.

I don't have kids but when I do, if they're interested then I will definitely teach them and push them towards freeroll tourneys.

Perhaps an explanation should be provided as to why there is an interest in whether a son should be taught poker but seemingly no interest or mention if a daughter should be taught poker. Why is the word in the title son and not child?
