Just curious why you would choose to frequent a poker tourney at a place that allows smoking if inhaling 2nd hand smoke bothers you.

It should be 100% band from all tables no exceptions! All the live games I play and I have played a lot have a break every hour smoke then outside or quit smoking!

Cigarettes have long been "out of fashion", but I will not force myself to quit this vile habit. There is nothing more stupid and reckless than smoking. Let's quit smoking together!
Out of fashion 😂😂😂 it’s more stupid to do things for fashion I guess 😂😂✌️

I think it used to be possible and all poker players smoked now it's out of fashion and very few people smoke, especially since there are electronic cigarettes that are allowed to smoke in establishments now, but the best thing is not to smoke and you will play poker more and better because players who do not smoke seem to win more than smokers

one of the things that bother me a lot is tolerating someone else on the table smoking cigarettes and give myself the free will to enjoy second-hand smoking right along with him/her throughout the entire gameplay. it bothers me a lot, not only during the game even after the game it makes all my nasals and mouth and my lungs dry. some players don't understand the number of cigarettes is consuming during the game just because they feel like losing the game.

first of all, for those players I should say that cigarette makes your brain weaker and doesn't let your brain to make a proper decision it makes your heart pump fast and your blood pressure high and your lungs dry so it lessens your brain function and in lung run those players may experience loses
do not smoke not only on the poker table but everywhere, take good care of your health

Depends on where you live but here in the UK. it is banned in all Public places, Even Vaping is not allowed in-doors so if you want to Smoke or Vape you have to go Outside, which of course means your blinds are posted for you and your hands folded if you cannot wait for the Breaks to come around.
I used to smoke 40 Cigarettes per day and was one of those that thought it helped me to concentrate, but the reality is they don't help you in any way, It is all in your mind that they contribute anything to you, except give you chance of Cancer or Chronic Heart Disease which I found out the hard way.
I suffered a Heart Attack 10 years ago and had to go through a Triple Bypass to keep my ticker ticking. But since Quitting smoking my Game play has actually improved, So you can keep your Cigarettes I am saving over £20 a day by not having to buy the damned things.

Smoking while playing poker is a personal choice and may depend on the specific rules and regulations of the poker venue or online platform you are playing on. However, there are a few considerations to keep in mind:

  1. Legal Restrictions: Smoking regulations vary by jurisdiction and venue. In many places, smoking is prohibited in public indoor spaces, including casinos and poker rooms. If you are playing in a live setting, it's important to adhere to the rules and regulations set by the establishment.
  2. Comfort of Others: Even if smoking is allowed in the poker venue, it's important to be considerate of other players and their preferences. Not everyone enjoys being around secondhand smoke, and it's important to respect their comfort and well-being.
  3. Personal Health: Smoking can have negative effects on your own health, including increased risks of various diseases and health complications. Consider the impact smoking may have on your overall well-being and long-term health goals.
  4. Mental Focus: Smoking can also affect your mental focus and concentration. Nicotine and other chemicals in cigarettes can alter brain function and potentially impact decision-making abilities. It's important to evaluate how smoking may affect your performance at the poker table.
If you choose to smoke while playing poker, it's important to be mindful of the rules and regulations, respect others' preferences, and prioritize your own health and well-being. Additionally, it's worth considering alternatives such as designated smoking areas, electronic cigarettes, or other smokeless options that may be more accommodating to both your personal preferences and the environment in which you are playing.
