It's a good question in the sense that poker is not just a game but also an opportunity which allowed me to correct my money management in my private life and to continue to control my expenses despite some spew from time to time.
I'd give this 2 thumbs up if I could. :)

Love the question @Shells

I think the answers can vary widely depending on the person. I remember well the struggles my family had with money and how smart and frugal my parents were and taught me to be. I was one call by a girlfriend's mom ^A penny pinching miser" of course her daughters cheating on me really wanted me to spend alot on her. lol but overall, she is correct.

Poker really has not change how I am and feel about money. While I do "Luve" the game and take my play seriously, it is just a hobby for me. Would i play bigger if I have the recourses? I would. Has it changed my thought on money. Nope.

In what ways has poker changed your perspective on money? or has your perspective on money changed at all?
I have been a spender since childhood. I always spent money recklessly, never saved, and often made impulsive purchases. It was the same with poker until a certain time. But after another loss of bankroll, I started reading and getting interested in various bankroll management systems, one of which I successfully started using. And now my results have become radically different. My bankroll just started to grow steadily. And this fact opened my eyes. I became more disciplined about spending money in my personal life and, most importantly, I started thinking before I bought something. Poker changed me and changed my attitude towards money.

Poker has taught me to view money as a tool rather than just a possession. It's about managing risks, understanding value, and making informed decisions—a perspective that extends beyond the game itself.

No, poker hasn't changed my attitude to money. I've never had enough money, and in my case, if I have money, it's usually gone by the evening :)
Although I spend money only on necessary things, on essentials, but there is always not enough money. In poker, it's the same, I spend money only on those tournaments that I can afford to play, however, my bankroll is not enough to play in the tournaments I would like to play. Thank God, at least I'm a member of the CardsChat community :)

I'd say that my perspective on money per se didn't change, but my perspective about "poker money" did.
I mean, I don't play thinking in the money of the prizes, I actually see it as points, like, as a progress or something like that.
Edit: maybe because I haven't won a big big prize yet
