Right.

New rules, 35BI up, 30BI down. Simple, still on 32BI's for nl$100, so hopefully a winning session tonight :)

always always always a good sign when someone wins 5 buyins the session after you give them help, much better than being on the receiving end of a -5 buyin omg your advice was sht you suck so much rant. Good to see it going well so far dude, good luck with the rest of the month

Yeah, thanks for the advice it's been golden. I'm not opening every button, just almost every button (SB VPIP = ~88% since your PM).

When you were playing HU how did you handle all the shorties ( < 50bbs)? I've played a few, and they're horrible as a rule, but there's just no room to do anything. Over the last 2 days I've just been saying "full stack please" and sitting out until they top up or leave. So what do you think, play them because they're horrible or wait for a full stack?

also KC, you really should be just c betting flop and turn on that hand since a lot of people will check behind with most hands and you lose a ton of value, also 8's would probably stack on the turn after you bet flop, but if the river came a 9+, then the 8's may very likely fold to the shove

P.S. being ill sucks so hard, 41 fpps on the month ftw :(

thanks switch, this is exactly what I am looking for...a straight understandable answer, I thank you.

also I am really really new to this cash stuff you all know that so I havea lot to learn, any help is appreciated :)

Or better yet, force yourself to play. Then, when you're not really into it, you lose a bunch of $$. Greatest idea ever!

Almost out of the gutter for the month. After playing 200NL for awhile, I find it amazing how easy it is to totally own some of the 100NL regs.

ye it's not that big of a deal if you don't open 100% since against some opponents i didn't. It doesn't make much difference to winnings if your uncomfortable opening 2-7, 3-7 etc.

As for shorties, sit at 50bb min tables for starters, then that should be better, if someone sits in for 50bb then swiftly falls to 20bb, you can easily just sit out and ask them to reload, a suprising amount of people will reload if you ask nicely.

Yes, HU short stacks are almost always horrible. But still, I'd just avoid people sitting really short especially if you're playing 50NL. The rake is too ridiculous there to mess around with them too much, you'll end up wasting like $15 in rake to win $20 from a shorty if you don't stack them right away. Also, whether they know it or not, most short stacks will play closer to optimal than most guys playing 100bb deep. Like switch said, if someone starts getting short, just sit out and kindly ask them to top up, most people will if you ask.

However, if you are just getting started in HU, I'd actually recommend sitting with the short stacks, just for the experience. Playing shorter, like 30-60BB is much easier and simplifies a lot of your decisions. If making money right away isnt your biggest concern, sitting against short stacks is a good way to ease in to the HU world. The decisions are all easier and it can help keep the huge swings at bay a little.

2,072 vpp's. Playing 3 nl$50 tables and 3 nl$100 tables now, happy with that for the next few days at least. I have a 4BI cushion now, shame about the last few hands, too tired imo.

Forget about when it might end. You're confident and doing well, so keep doing what you're doing :)

Man, that's really not that "swingy."
I thought if you were smart enough to write a coherent sentence & use poker tracker, your 10$ NL graph only went straight up?

Swingy usually implies that edges are really thin in a game, and at $10nl FR, that's just not the case if you don't drool out the side of your mouth.
