-its a bunch of the best players in the MLB just clowning around
-you don't have to take it seriously, but you can, if you want!
-its in the heart of the summer
-weather is great, call up friends and grill some meat and have some beers!
-there's almost no sports on besides it, so you can tune in for a little bit, watch a couple long balls, and just screw around while halfway paying attention
-baseball this time of year is really boring otherwise!

Anyone tried contacting FTP support during this update crisis their having.
even if your issue isn't remotely relevant to their update they will send you an email with instructions on installing the update:mad:

Shows they don't bother reading emails. Anyone know if FTP support are actually human?

The Technology support address?
I doubt it, I've sent 2 emails giving them a traceroute they asked for to help me with my connection.
Each time I received a prewritten email saying their sorry to hear my update won't install.

I then sent a message asking them if their even reading my emails.
You'd never guess what they sent me for the third time running.

Utter shit if you ask me, I spent ages trying to setup an wired ethernet connection and then getting ready to type in the traceroute command as fast as I could whilst the disconnection was happening as it was what they told me to do.
Despite going to all this trouble and bein in contact with them over the same problem for almost a month I get sent useless emails about a friggin update over and over!

Have you verified that it isnt a problem with your connection?

Firstly use a wired connection to test.

Second to make 100% sure the wired connection is working disable wireless.

Third verify that there isnt an issue with your ISP causing the problem, for example

open a CMD box

type ping www.google.com -t

let that keep pinging google and just play as normal.

The second you get a connection problem, check that CMD box. If the path to google has dropped at exactly the same time the connection to FTP drops, the problem isnt with FTP.

You could also check the logs on your router. Is it showing anything abnormal at the times FTP drops?

I'll give that ago.
I fear the problem is my wireless, yet using a wired connection day to day would be impossible whilst I'm at my parents out of term time.
Ah well I shall start a session now and get google pinging.

I didn't have a disconnection yesterday which was pleasing. I found FTP was not within my firewalls exceptions.
Although I'm not confident this is problem solved as it has not been on this laptops exceptions long before the problems occurred.

its router dependent.

Usually type 192.168.0.1 into your web browser

If you dont know the password... try username admin, password password.

If not have a look on the router, they normaly have the default password stamped on them.

just have a look for logs or something.

Try the google thing though.

the -t at the end is important as it will keep polling google so when the connection drops you can see if the path to google goes at the same time.

Make sure you DISABLE wireless whilst using the wired connection (just for a few days until we can rule out the wireless factor) even though its got a network lead plugged in, we still dont 100% know its using the wired connection (understand)
