it is impossible to win a poker game in the long term, I know, unless you are the president of the bank and find someone to sponsor you
If you use your brain it's actually very easy to win at poker long term

If you say so, a quick look through my deposit/withdrawals in the cashier tells me otherwise but it's ok for you to hate, there are alot of losers out there and I must assume you fall in this category if you don't believe the players who are actually in profit.

Keep trying, one day you'll get there.
Tell us about the losses that are not in your bank statement, for example the losses in slot machines
this is just an example because poker is not only on the internet

I'm going to make this my last reply to you as I feel each time I interact with you a few brain cells of mine disappear.

Did you read the title of the thread?

Could you direct me to the part of the question that has slots included?

Rather than moping around trying to call honest people liars, perhaps you should take a deeper look inside yourself and work out why you are losing so much.....

Are you becoming impatient playing hands you shouldn't be playing?

Are you betting when you should be checking or checking when you should be betting?

Are you calling when you should be folding or are you folding when you should be calling or even raising?

Are you playing games or formats that you know are unbeatable due to structures/rake/skill issues?

Answer those questions to yourself, work on yourself and maybe one day we'll meet at a final table and your frown will be turned upside down.

Until then you can kindly **** off and keep your negativity to yourself!

Have a good day!

yes but you lose money in slots be fair .in pokerslots it's almost the same as playing online when you can't see your opponent ,and the thread asks about poker as a whole, or is there no poker in slot machines?

Hi there,

Just like the stock market, horseracing or any other gambling game, someone is taking huge losses but it does not have to be you :D Everyone does not lose at poker!

When I started out playing poker, I invested $20.00 and lost that over time. Then I got lured in again and deposited to get a Tournament Indicator access with another $20.00. I am a recreational player but I'm playing a lot more now because poker is a way to earn money.

Luckily I joined CardsChat, did the poker course and started grinding freerolls. Determined not to put another cent of mine into online poker. I have never looked back again and now practice proper bankroll management. This is my journey summary since then - invested about USD$40 but have withdrawn about EUROS$680 and currently have a bankroll of about USD$360. This is a detailed account of my journey - My Zero Bankroll Builder Challenge

I did this Challenge as a way to inspire others to play poker in a safe way. Invest your time to learn by using the freerolls to play but be careful not to pump your hard-earned money into it. If you want to use your "spare" money and take stabs at big wins, that's on you!

I am proud to be part of the select few that run profitably in the game. My earnings are not huge now but will be when I retire and can play poker as much as I would like. I play mostly $1 dollar Mystery Bounty Tournaments and give myself chances to win free tickets. My biggest wins are from a $16.50 ticket and the pokerstars SilverPass win. All from grinding freerolls and streams to win tickets.

poker sites give lots of free stuff since they are always looking for the Cinderella story. This is what caused the Poker BOOM! Hell, I want to be a Cinderella story someday! Cinderella stories sell and bring many dreamers, like me, into the game but sadly many have the wrong approach.

A million thanks to the CardsChart Community for setting me on a great poker path - this is a great place to learn and grow in Poker!

I would be up in the last few years as I rarely deposit. I play mainly freeroll MTTs.

At the beginning of the game, I lost about $ 600 in 9 months, but that was six years ago. Now I have a positive balance in poker. Honestly, poker brings me income.

Just fold your way to the money. Wait until you're sure you've got it good, avoid marginal situations, and let everyone else bust their stack in 3 hands.

over $1.5k, but their deposits amount to much less than $50. Over the past month, my best cache has grown by 1.5k, so I'm somewhere in the black

Hello everyone! To be honest, I started playing poker without deposits, only occasionally my friends would send me a few bucks, and that was only because my tablet had a small defect, and I couldn't play on larger tables. Over time, I managed to replace my device with a better one and continued with freerolls. After accumulating a bankroll in a few places, I started participating in NL2-NL5 and now I have a decent bankroll because several deep runs to final tables allow me to feel comfortable and continue playing at this limit. So I'm in profit! This is not boasting—just stating a fact: it is possible to create a bankroll without deposits; it took me a little over a year. You need to learn and practice a lot.

The good thing about not being rich is that I don't like throwing money away, haha. So, before getting into the world of poker for real money, I spent a lot of time learning. While I started off as a losing player, I can now stay stable while gradually increasing my winnings. I'd say I only lost my first $20 on PokerStars, then built up my bankroll thanks to CardsChat freerolls, and now I’m holding steady in NL5 with $70

Let's be honest, how much money did you lose playing poker?
Playing poker, I lost about $150-200 for the whole time. Playing slots, I lost thousands of dollars. So, somehow, I made conclusions, and now I play only poker, I get pleasure from the game and reward for a good time :)

I do not know how much money I lost in poker, I do not keep records, but I know for sure that I played with profit and this is thanks to freerolls.

I have spent 0 dollars on poker :) and I am not a liar lol

I do not play professionally, but I love the game a lot PLUS there are gamblers in my family. Bad ones, so I learned to steer clear of that :)

AND it has been hard :p with my CC PS freerolls gone (stupid PS jerks, being greedy lol) there is a nagging part of me that is tempting me though....but I am staying strong :p I think...I will post the next time this comes up, to see if I have still made it :p

EDIT! Damn it I played live once and it cost me 20 dollars, but I won 300+ so I guess I am a liar :p

I've been playing poker for about 15 years, and I lost money for most of that time, so I'm definitely down overall. However, in the last five years, I think I’ve managed a small profit. Overall, I’m down about $10,000, which isn’t too bad considering the timeframe. I know for sure that I wouldn’t be losing if it weren’t for the rake.

I am a plus player. But if I played NL10 or higher, I would be a minus player.
