I wouldn't mind being a gambler with Elky's bank account.

good point tbh! So you have no intention of developing a tourney game aswell as your solid cash game.

Not at the moment.

I would probably try to do both if i had loads of time like you students do, but i play less than 2 hours per day on average, and that's not enough to make chasing multiple goals a valid option. Better to focus on being really good at one thing that be just good at several. Because only being just good doesn't make any money at poker. you need to be really good to beat both the field and the rake.

I don't plan.

And i don't know if 1knl is beatable when you don't consider poker a full time job.

surely that doesnt make a difference, if you've got the skills to pay the bills you can beat it. Or do you mean by studying regs game to exploit them and you dont have the time to do that with a job?

I mean the overall amount of studying the game and the other regs to keep up with the level.

whatever the sport, when there are amateurs and professionals, there is a level of competition where you will only find pros because the amateurs just can't afford the amount of training that it requires. Poker is no different.

There is a level below that where gifted amateurs can compete with the least gifted pros. as far as i can tell, that level is probably between 100nl and 400nl at the moment.

It's not a huge sample size, but I feel I've really made some big improvements in my game lately:

25NL until about hand 6500, where I've moved up to 50NL

how often do you 4bet qq jake? same with kk really, do you 4bet kk just all the time as a standard? Since you should really be thinking about villains 3bet range and what % of the range hes going to get in pre or flat the 4bet with or something.

i only really 4bet BTN vs blinds or CO vs BTN stuff like that.
No I dont really take into account 3bet range, only when its very small so then I go ahead and 4bet.

idk if I"m capable of playing<12 tables now. I don't even have TIME to look at my cashier, haha. Not to mention my sessions are much longer (2.5-3 hours as opposed to 1 hour)

is it just me or did stars start putting the board out tiltingly slow in all-in pots?

like i'll get all in KK vs AK and be forced to wait an extra second or two for the turn and river, which makes it all the more tilting when the ace invariable hits on the river
