About 16K of which are 10nl FR, so its going well and my 3bet is above 4% for the first sustained period.
Any comments on the stats?
Looks like I still want to close my vpip/pfr gap more. Less calling still required.
Is my 3 bet call is starting to look a little low? I can't recall what is optimal.

Yeah, I also think you need to close the gap on your VPIP and PFR a little bit more. I think the easiest way to do this is to cold call less. I think what's been helping me lately is trying to keep my 3b% and CC% closer.

If your v3bet call is starting to look low, try to tighten up your range against aggressive 3betters. I'm sure there are a bunch of aggressive 3betters on pokerstars.

Yuck overbet stinks of value. If he was bluffing why not make it look like a normal value bet John's Law -- if they could bluff for less it's probably value. ... Its probably 45 or a set but there's also the busted flush draw which he could play like this.
I quite like the pot control on the turn but it does open his bluffing range, we've invited a bluff so usually I'd be looking to call with my bluff catcher here its just his sizing that concerns.
As it's early in the session I might look him up for information but as we don't have too much invested we could let it go without too much damage. I'd be giving him a right good stare down looking and at his body language and if he splashed the chips in or looks back defiantly I lean towards a call.
You might be better posting this hand into the cash games forum as there are guys that play a lot more live than us in here.

Ugh... yeah, a lot of short term variance in PLO. It can be brutal sometimes when those flips down even out.

Gotta look on the bright side played played 500 hand yesterday at PLO and only $20 below $EVDiff this time :) mainly $20 pot when 75% fav.

Decided to go back to NLHE at the bottom again lol. DO you value bet the river.
Only had about 1/3 Pot bet left and only 1 hand on villain 100/100/67AG%
and if you do value bet River how much do you bet if you had more i.e. Villain had effective $2.90

I think w/o info a check back is good. Most of his range is draw anways. If you had some info about his aggression, I don't mind a small VB to get Qx to call. Something like 1.25ish.

Also for now keeping at 1c/2c as still running like Shit and doesnt hurt much, typical hand from today I just overshoved the Turn. and obv they hit flush on river

Come on Rhom

This zoom is easy! All the fish playing to get into a shootout that have very little chance of cashing in.
I found just floating worked wonders, opening min raises from the button, they give up much easier in smaller pots.

But if i was playing that hand they would have Ace 4 off ;)

agree with the calendar. Best one was deposit $10 and get $10 free.

I thought a few Qx was in his range after his weird turn bet, thats why I raised to get Qx or flush draw to call. Once blankish River and his check I thought safe to bet so bet the remainding 98c

He turned over AA

You were mainly raising to get value from draws, which were most of his range, not Qx.

To avoid calling down I've decide a few times to to take the initiative and raise rather than calling down and then fold if they 3Bet. Is this a better line in general than Call Flop, Turn and River with mediocre hand i.e. top pair weak kicker or Mid Pair good kicker etc

Also for now keeping at 1c/2c as still running like Shit and doesnt hurt much, typical hand from today I just overshoved the Turn. and obv they hit flush on river

So here's the thing, since we've talked quite a bit about raising the flop/turn on here lately. Ideally, you don't want to be doing this. Theoretically it's much better to have an understanding of what your opponents firing range will be, and call in spots where your equity vs that range makes sense to do so.

However... :) If you're struggling to know that information, then a min raise in position in situations where you have narrow EV can be more profitable. This will typically allow you to take control of the hand and decide if you're betting turn /river or checking through. This can be very effective against passive players, which you will be facing at micro stakes. Opponents who can over value hands, and you're not sure yet how much they are over valuing their hand when you have a mediocre hand yourself.

I'd strive to get better at the theory part so you can understand their range better, but in the meantime it's not a bad play to min raise in position occasionally. It will be a more profitable play than calling down if you implement it correctly.

Like they used to tell me in school, ask your neighbor. Is there anyone in the group that you're on skype w/ that can send it to you. I can send it to you on there, but I'm not the most timely of people lately.

Either that or signup w/ a different e-mail and it will be resent.

Cold call early leak

Ok leakbuster is picking up early cold calling as a leak, no surprise to me..anyway id like a bit of feedback on this fairly typical hand

Leak Hand found and Converted by Leak Buster Poker Training Software

NL Holdem $0.25(BB) full ring.
SB ($12.17)
BB ($18.81)
UTG ($27.67)
EP ($25.6) 18/15. 25% agg (quite low) in 105 hands opens from EP 19%, bad reg not positionally aware
HERO ($25)
MP ($16.27) posts 25c 1bb
HJ ($25)
CO ($10.56)
BTN ($28.81)

Dealt to Hero 9
diamond.gif
9
spade.gif

UTG Folds, EP Raises To $1.2, HERO Calls $1.2, MP Folds, HJ Folds, CO Folds, BTN Folds, SB Folds, BB Folds
OK against a 19% opening range we have 58% equity.

Flop ($2.4) 7
diamond.gif
2
heart.gif
2
spade.gif

EP Bets $2, HERO Calls $2
On this flop our equity goes up to 69%. Should therefore we be raising here or is it more prudent to wait a street and see what he does?

Turn ($6.4) 7
diamond.gif
2
heart.gif
2
spade.gif
K
club.gif

EP Bets $4.75, HERO Folds EP wins $6.78

Equity calculator shows we should still have 60% equity here but clearly this card hits his range pretty hard. and he has low agg and yet he fires again (turn cbet 25%) Hence my fold
...but with this equity should we be folding here? Does his low agg point towards the top of his range? How much can we narrow his range by his turn cbet?
So what is best, fold, check call and call most low card rivers, or raise here on the turn?

similar spot

Same spot, do we raise this turn with 70% or risk the overcard on the river?
Fairly tight bad reg again positionally unaware (about 13-15% every position)
Who's folding to the K and 3rd barrel?
My equity calc is still showing us 59% so bad fold?
