Suppose i should finally put some good amount of hands in. With the crazy field time this week and the release of Diablo 3 i think i have played maybe 200 hands lmao. Gonna try and get at least 1500 hands in tonight or at least 4 hours.

Um...good or stupid hero call down by me?

The following suggested he might be a fish:
1) He is a total unknown (non reg), this was the first hand vs him
2) He posted BB from UTG when he joined
3) PF raise size is unusual
4) He didn't buy-in full

pokerstars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (4 handed) - PokerStars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

UTG ($18.17)
Hero (Button) ($26.92)

No money in the micros all regs are SOLID!

This guy is a 2p2r with about 5k posts. I see him posting hands in the micro forum everyday. Seems like he works hard at his game, yet I feel bad for him that he just doesn't get it.

Limper is a whale and I figured that there is a good chance that the reg won't cbet this flop too light since the whale won't fold often and the board smashes my calling range here, hence the donk bet.
PokerStars - $0.25 NL - Holdem - 8 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 3: http://www.pokertracker.com

UTG+1: $18.08
MP: $25.00
MP+1: $15.90
CO: $19.54
BTN: $25.00
Hero (SB): $25.00
BB: $10.00
UTG: $9.95

Hero posts SB $0.10, BB posts BB $0.25

Pre Flop: ($0.35) Hero has Td Ts

fold, fold, fold, MP+1 calls $0.25, fold, BTN raises to $1.25, Hero calls $1.15, fold, MP+1 calls $1.00

Flop: ($4.00, 3 players) Tc 9s 3d
Hero bets $2.67, fold, BTN calls $2.67

Turn: ($9.34, 2 players) Ac
Hero bets $6.24, BTN calls $6.24

River: ($21.82, 2 players) 4s
Hero bets $14.84 and is all-in, BTN calls $14.84 and is all-in

Hero shows Td Ts (Three of a Kind, Tens) (Pre 18%, Flop 90%, Turn 95%)
BTN mucks Ks Kd (One Pair, Kings) (Pre 82%, Flop 10%, Turn 5%)
Hero wins $49.50

I mean ya I'm a bit of a lag tard but most of the time when I'm oop and there is a whale I'm not donking out with something like QJ and then 3barreling.

Here's another one from a reg that I presume is winning that runs around 17/15 or so and seems relatively standard stats wise. Okay so sometimes I am a bit laggy and will open some questionable hands in EP. If I'm going to flat an EP raise with J8s though its gotta be because I think that the guy raiser is a) real loose and b) real bad. I am neither right? Maybe a bit loose and somewhat bad but comeon man.

PokerStars - €0.25 NL - Holdem - 9 players

Hero shows Ah Ts (Two Pair, Aces and Tens) (Pre 60%, Flop 78%, Turn 95%)
Hero wins €50.43

I guess he puts me on AK/AQ here and things he can push me off of it? Would have been cheaper imo to raise the turn if thats the case since a turn raise always means that TPTK is no good right?

I ran great today for the first 6k hands and made 10 buyins at 25NL. Then somehow managed a downward swong to $120 ;(

Whether or not I put in another session remains to be seen. Headed over to a friends house to help him move a few things from upstairs to downstairs and help him clear his fridge of all that extra beer that keeps getting in his way.

Cheers

Meh he's super polarised here and by combinatorics alone there is more chance he has like AT or AQ here. We just don't know if he's capable of bluffing, but i dont hate your play if you were thinking he was a bad fish, I just like being a station which is probably why i think its fine, we should probably know our opponent better before making call downs generally.

Really not pumped about opening ATo UTG unless there is a huge drooler in the blinds, or a super huge drooler at the table, otherwise i really don't think you will make money there.

I know its pretty questionable but I was UTG+1 and there was an aggro fish in the SB. Rest of the table was pretty nitty except for the reg on the button
who actually plays 19/16 over a 5k sample.

I agree though, its probably not a winning play. I was getting really out of control for awhile there opening stuff like KJs utg and all pairs. Then I realized that I was losing money there over a good sample. Trying to tighten up but every now and again I just can't resist mashing the raise button.

Weeeee... I made a small cash in a $4.5k GT 1 Rebuy/1 Addon tourney last night on HeroPoker. finished in 7th for $680... I know it may not be that much, but considering I never rebought nor did I addon... I only spent $11 total for that nice lil cash. On to my cash games as this thread is... only up $87 for the month... I am planning to grind now cash games... I just had to get an MTT final table to satisfy me. GL all!

OMG posting a hand in this thread, just a quick line check. Had a look over it myself today and I think the call is super thin. Short stack was running at 80/4 pre, and raising most flops, I call because it looks like an attempt to ISO. Shover is new to me, have like 12 hands on him.

With all the draws, I think it's pretty standard especially since shorty shoved. Can't really see the SB shoving his sets (he likely only has 55 in his non-3bet preflop range anyway) trying to scare you off. Best he ever has here is QJ but all the str8 and heart draws more than make up for it.
