Many poker players say that we often have to get to ITM, and then risk more in the game, there are some factors that we must observe in this strategy.
If we are not going to risk our chips, we run the risk that they will end before we even get to ITM, I believe that when we enter a tournament we must play hard and without fear that the chips will end, the main objective will be to have an extra strategy not to play, We need to play with caution, but firmly to gradually raise our stacks of chips so that we can deal with the players who have the most chips when they enter ITM

Of course, the strategy should be in the first place, but further in the game you need to be able to read the opponent. In the tournament having AA, you can lose if the opponent has trips. In my game, 30% I win, with a pocket pair.

Fighting for big value is def. more important.
One FT is alot better then 3/4 min cash.

I play to win every tournament I enter so I fight for great value every time.

I play poker to win; the same way I played sports. At the same time I know that I want to get in a decent amount of time at the tables before I quit, so survival is also important. It depends on the money spent and prize money...in the micro tables, I just play to win. Live, at a casino with a starting bankroll of $200 to $300, I am more cautious, and play aggressively with premium hands, but avoid putting in too much money on "pretty, but not great" hands (JK os).

It's a good question. If I'm close to the money I am more careful and I know it's probably not a good strategy because other people are also doing this which means it might be an opportunity to pick up some pots with a little aggression. Still I'm a fairly new player and I'm trying to build a little bankroll on ACR so it still means a lot to me when I cash. Once I cash I loosen up but so do others, so I find it is a good idea to hold back on loosening up and let the small stacks shove for a few hands first unless you have a great hand and want to take them on.

For me the important thing is to get into the bubble.

It depends on the type of tournament, 4 example: 888 freeroll pyramid, on the 1-t level i think that the main thing is to be in top 3000, on other levels to win..

I think that in a tournament there are three stages and there are moments where we will have to arguegarnos to stay outside .. the important thing is to play without fear .. xq if it has to be ours is going to be but we have to help him with decisions that leave us breathless in the tournament.
We will have to steal many blinds if we do not get letters .. the best thing is to stay on average until we can bend ... and so we can wait or better be able to choose well our hands with which we will enter high boats to be able to take the move .

I think the most important thing is to defend your blinds in the stage and bubble. This is where most players make mistakes because they are too passive or too aggressive.

Totally depends on you and what your goal was when you set out in the game. If you've never been ITM before then that's a fantastic result to get there, even if it means playing really nitty.

If your aim is to win the tournament and you don't mind not cashing, or even busting on the bubble, then be aggressive in every spot you see an opportunity as you'll never limp your way to victory.

IMO it depends on the payout structure. If its very flat I dont risk too much, but if its steep just being ITM gives you (almost) nothing and I risk a lot to get to the final table.

I think, if you still need to build a bankroll, it is quite solid to play first for being ITM and then trying to go further after the bubble bursted.

If very small percentage of players is going to win something I try to stack a lot of chips at the beggining because blinds can easy catch you later (I like to play on Turbo or Hyper tables). And a big stack of chips can help you later against small stacks. If there is tournament with big percentage of players that will win something then I'm more cautious and try to get ITM.

In my opinion the most important thing in the tournament is to reach the prize pool, then you will see how you can get to the final table, of course depending on your pot of money

I think that you should always play the first place. But there are expensive tournaments, in which it is also not bad to get into money)

100% agree, only way you should think about cashing is if you are realy short near bubble or if you won ticket for big tournament on small satty, so mincash is like wining some small tourney..

Well. I don't look at it as one tournament. If you could afford one tournament or if you can afford 40 entries to a tournament, it can help with a strategy to choose. If you can lose 10 tournaments and win on the eleventh try, I'd say it is a lot easier than only being able to enter a tournament one time and hoping to score first place or the final table in one try.

personally I play tournaments with caution for fear of losing many chips, especially when it comes to the final but everyone has their own strategy

Here's the thing...you can't have the big pay day without surviving. So, they go hand in hand. Your first goal should be to survive....with the end goal winning the thing.
