I agree and feel the same way as you, to the point of playing Stud/HL, HORSE or 8 Game more often.

You need a more fundamental style that you can find in any beginner book on omaha. Basically you need to learn what to look out for from the board and what could come then heres the important part, show how to properly demonstrate pot control and not blast away trying to prevent god awful players who are going to pay you off regardless.

You should be able to min in those types of tourns all the time but when you figure your computer costs more to run then the little payouts of those tourns then they don't make a lot of sense, lol.

But they are great entertainment at crazy folks you mention, the folks that register but don't play and you get stuck with an agro donk that wants to steal the blinds that add up to nothing, or folks that get frustrated trying to deal with the nonsense of those tourns,lol.

The biggest problem with online Omaha games is that most players go there just to 'take a trip' and think they have to play with all their hands because they got 3 identical cards and an Ace for e.g.
I think most people don't even know what kind of starting hands to play in Omaha, they just call and then happens what happens.
That's why it's hard to play, especially with small stakes. In the case of Omaha, there is a much greater chance that a full, poker, straight flush, Royal Flush will come, not just plain hands of one or two pairs, this must be accepted.

A very simple advice, stop raising like crazy, and when there is a double card, know that there will certainly be a full or a square, it is very common in OMHA

What happens with the Omaha is that it has a lot of variance, but are you the 2nd or 3rd person I see who says this in ACR, are those Omaha freerolls or are they paid tournaments? Because we know how freerolls can be, crazy where they bet for the sake of betting without caring what cards they have, I think one of the things you should keep in mind is to play more carefully, remember that having a strong hand will not always make you the winner and that is already more than proven
