It's definitely worth it, but especially if the satellite tournament is free. The other thing is that in these cases the prize usually goes to the first place winner, so you have to fight hard for it. Paid satellites are a different matter, but I think it's worth it there too, because you can get into the main tournament for a fraction of the regular buy-in.

the feeling I got was exactly that it's better to buy in to the main tournament instead of playing satellites

Hello friends
This shouldn't be a question but a statement. We have just a few days since Marcelo Aziz from Brazil won the biggest prize in Brazilian jm history and was able to play the ME with Satellite. So it shows that we can all get there with knowledge and a little luck.
really satellites you have to be very lucky because the players are very aggressive you have to know how to control

I think satellites are a great option to play higher than your bankroll allows. It's a shot at higher buy ins and gives great value.

I like it... and in my opinion, the poker room that has the best satellite model is the 888...

I recently discovered that playing satellites is a good way to get good results without "hurting" our bankroll too much. Even more important when we have small bankrolls.. is great play a tournament with 10% or 20% of your original buy in..(y)

A lot of the time, sattys are great because the player base does not understand the ICM of the format.

I don't apply, but judging by the reviews I think the free satellites are what I would choose. If you don't do well in a buy-in satellite and you do a few rebuys you'll almost end up paying your entry and you can't use it . It's like talking about bankroll management 🤔

The satellite is a possibility for you to participate in larger tournaments with little or even no money.
I agree, this is an opportunity to try the game in more expensive tournaments, and if you have time for it, then why not.

so it is better to start from the very bottom and gradually develop with increasing limits than to sit on a serious limit and lose your bankroll, so start with satellites and freerolls

Dara O'Kearney knows satellites.

He analyzes how to win them.

If you read from the first post then he could answer some of your questions.....

If you play satellites at the same time as other tournaments, then you don’t really waste time.Satellites are a great way to get into big, exciting MTTs. That's something 2003 World Champion Chris Moneymaker would happily endorse. He won an $86 pokerstars satellite, flew to Vegas, and took home $2.5 million.

I always liked sats , but I can't say I have been lucky . I even am not sure if I am on the red zone on the whole overally . Only special sats are of interest , sats with many seats gtd , for special events , with very big prizepool , especially when there is smaller numbers of runners and the poker room gives tickets in sats with ridiculous price yo enter , only in their attempt to be saved , at least cover most of the prize without rake . I call these last sats or tourneys ''philanthropic'' ones on behalf of the poker rooms . Lol

It is worth it especially if it is a good offer, and you play for example a cheap satellite and win a ticket to a much bigger tournament.

If you are playing for profit, then satellites are generally a bad idea. The reason is, you either dont follow bankroll management, or you are wasting time by playing games, you are overrolled for. But of course there are exceptions, like if a satellite offer a big overlay or is exceptionally soft. But other than that satellites are mostly for people, who play for fun.

one of the pros said that if you are not initially ready to play in a tournament (not according to your bankroll), then play a satellite at a minus rate, but I personally play a satellite as a way to increase my bankroll in another more aggressive way

Direct satellites are great when you have a small bankroll. I go to coinpoker and play all tournaments.

About 3 years ago I played about 100 satellites on PP for 1 cent, the result was 0. This was my last experiment with satellites.

I recommend that satellites remain a better lever to increase your stack, but above all you have to master the game strategies, because satellites remain more difficult than other formats.
