Playing freerolls for tournament tickets is worth it if the ticket leads to a valuable event with a good structure and soft competition, but not if the field is huge and the ticket has low value or limited usability.

Personally I don't bother with games that put you in the never ending track (phase 1 leads to phase 2, etc,) and somewhere (much later) along the line comes the actual money game.
To me these look like a simple marketing trick. They make it look like there is a lot of offering to keep people busy.

A freeroll worth playing is the one which will take you to the main tournament, not to other satelites

There are so many variables in this.

How many seats are available? How many entries? What is the value of the target tournament? How many other satellites are running to the same tournament? Is there a better, path to qualify?

Also, your own personal situation is important. If you have no bankroll and lots of time, then sure! But if you have a few $$$ to spare and not a lot of downtime, then it is probably not the best option.
