I like pocket jacks. I play them the same way as other pairs. Isolation on the preflop and non-aggressive play on a high board.

As a rule, JJ plays with an all in regardless of the situation. I either lose or win
A rule on which u will loose money with in the long run 100% guaranteed.

This hand is arguably the most talked about hand and has been the subject of discussions in poker forums for many, many years.

Here is a link to discussion on Cardschat from a few years back for example - some very good advice and discussion here and its worth revisiting old threads for these pearls of wisdom (dig deeper).

It depends on many factors. I play differently in different situations. If you're looking for a single plan of action with this hand, then you probably won't find such a single plan.

I literally just lost with JJ to A10 pretty funny lol . I raised preflop called . Raised flop turn and river decent size and of course he hits Q on river to complete a straight. I had trips . Fml

you have to open with a strong bet to protect your hand, and isolate yourself against a player, and depending on the flop you must place a strong bet.

JJ has a mid-range hand so plays strong preflop.

How do you play JJ in a tournament?
JJ is a strong hand preflop vs wider ranges but not strong vs 3 bet ranges that are AQ+ TT+
That is the key to playing JJ understanding how your Villains play their ranges.
Post flop JJ is a good bluff hand vs Villains that will fold second pair so AQx flop we bluff JJ V folds QT---If your V do not fold---low stakes--- then we would pot control not bluff with JJ

let's go.
It's not a hand we're 100% comfortable playing, but it's still a value hand, so it depends on the situation you find yourself in in the hand.

for example: you are at a final table and you are second in chips and the chip leader opens an open raise from UTG and you are from the Button, this is a clear calling situation, you do not want to grow the pot while being second in chips and risk falling in 8th for examp
le.

cautiously, unless you hit trips, jacks get beaten as aces do too.
