Sure, you can win some pocket change, but I mostly play freerolls for fun. People tend to play a lot looser and more aggressive in them, which is exactly the kind of game I enjoy.

On some sites, you won't be able to play freerolls without making a deposit, as your account will be restricted to a certain extent without a deposit. But I don't think a deposit of $5 or $10 is a problem, most players probably have such opportunities.

Haven't you already played freerolls without making a deposit? I always played without making a deposit and when I had a few hundred I made a minimum deposit and then withdrew the money.

years ago I didn't even need to deposit in some sites to be able to withdraw but now this changed.
like others said, after you win an amount $ from freerolls or tournaments/bets you only need a small deposit to be able to withdraw.

A way to understand the environment and a way to know about a bunch of different kind of players perhaps. If you mix that experience getting on freerolls, with the study of poker. Maybe, just maybe. You can start to demonstrate to yourself if you can be a winning player. And in consequence gain some money.

I joined the community a year and a half ago. Since then, I've been making money regularly playing freerolls. I only make a deposit once a year when I need to withdraw money.
