Listen to Terry about Al. That's the Al Davis I loved, and miss.

Al Davis was the reason for the demise of the Raiders in the last 10 years, he drove that team into the ground. His senility caused him to make terrible decisions and the team should have been taken away from him years ago. I know a ton of Raiders fans and just about every one of them is where I get my opinion.

Years ago when he was owner and even further back when coaching, he was great, but there is a time to move on so you can be remembered as great.

Not to be a hater, but the only reason Marvin Lewis is still the head coach of the Bungles is because Mike Brown is too cheap to pay a replacement. I had NO problem with Marvin's hiring. However, I would have definitely fired him after last year due to all the past player issues, and having no playoff success (0-3) under his tutelage.

I can understand why you think this to be the case but to be honest, Marvin cant help which players are forced on him by Mike Brown(Chad, T.O. etc). Truth is Marvin has been having more say than any past coach...Its not easy for Mike to admit that he is not the football innovator and genius that his dad was and it has taken this long for him to relent and give more control to the head coach. Its hard, almost impossible in truth to be optimistic about the Bengals, but we have that now, and that is a start.

NFL

Well I am in New mexico so therefore guess news of Brian Urlacher should be thought of. Not a Bears fan or a NM fan really, lol.
Brian Urlacher is returning to practice for first time since July. Should add some D to their potent Defense. Much need for the Bears to get Urlacher back. Urlacher had been sidelined with after having arthroscopic surgery on his left knee back on August 14. Had the whole off season to take care of this so many wonder if he got treatment that was handled properly. Bad News Bears.
Go Raiders!

Moss no. 2 Guy

I can't believe Randy Moss is listed as the starter at wr for the niners beside Heyward-Bey's nemesis Crabtree.
I have Streater at wr in my fantasy team which is well also news to me.
Should have gone with Moss a number 2 guy instead of Streater who will be a route runner.
David Garrard has been released by Miami, I know he is coming off an injury. Teams should learn to have some compassion keeping players instead of dumping them when they are in recovery period. Then again one of the highest paid DT was let go and the next season he got a season ending injury.
So like poker, maybe these guys are picking up a tail and going with their decision.
Oh yeah, Giants beat Cowboys 45 - 17
lol

Since he died I try to look at him in a better light. I have to be honest and say I'm to young to remember him when he was great. I had the same negative thoughts as everyone else. I just feel weird talking bad about the dead. Unless of course they were murderers or warlords or something along those lines.

I picked up streater as one of my sleeper picks for this year. He was the only player in the preseason that had any hands besides Heyward bey or Mcfadden . (for the raiders that is).

How cool, feel more comfortable with my pick now. This is my first fantasy team in years. Streater is suppose to be a gem if you will out of those undrafted free agents.
Go Raiders!
Myself, I wish Al Davis was still part of the Oakland Raiders. We lost a lot of future hall of fame talent in the coaches and players. The man is the reason there is an NFL, the joining of the AFC and NFC. Lot of years of bad play you can place directly on the offensive line. This is the one aspect every draft day weekend I would be hoping the Raiders picked from.
Finally, they get some players I am really keen about such as the nephew of Wisniewski, Stephen. But then Al Davis passes away and they fire coaches Rod Woodson and Mr. Wisniewski. Then they move the OL starting position to center. Really think he was better at the position they put him in to fill a void. Bad moves.
A new GM in McKenzie really has me upset. I almost stopped any interest in football when Al Davis passed and news all over was it was a new time in Oakland. Then I see the Raiders first practice some months ago and well I am back. RIP

Weeeeeeeeee! Football came at the perfect time after my baseball betting slump. I hope I don't jinx myself, as I hit Ga Tech the other night and Dallas tonight. I don't think I won 2 baseball games in a row in over a month and a half.

I had picked NY only because I thought TE Jason Witten and CB Rookie whats his name were hurt. They both started and played very well. TE did have a huge penalty but does'nt matter.
