Da Bears... Even though I don't like Cutler and I think we gave up way too much for him when we needed receivers to throw to instead of a new QB(to throw to the receivers that we don't have). I can see them coming out of nowhere. I already have 5 games set up that I will be at. Maybe I will see JackDaniels there ;)

There seems to be an awful lot of support for the Saints. They have no defense people, it doesn't matter if you can score 100 if the other team scores 101 you lose.

Their defense last year was mediocre at best. They picked up Malcolm Jenkins in the 1st round of the draft along with 2 other defenders (a S and LB, if I'm not mistaken--although I think one of those 2 is out for the year with an injury in training camp). They have a new defensive coordinator.

I'm sure they'll be better than last year. I'd say they have the potential to be a top 15 defense. With a top 15 defense, and probably once again the top offense (if there are no injuries and what not, of course) for the 3rd time in 4 years.

If their defense can hold opposing teams to ~20 pts / game, I think the Saints can definitely make lots of noise in the postseason this year.

A Cubs fan from Illinois wouldn't be smart enough to root for the Bears...lol

Being from Minnesota and going to school in Mississippi, I gotta go with the Vikes but since my family in from Chicago then I also go for Da Bears. I hope Farve and actually improve the Vikes this years, they've needed a good quarterback for a while now!

With the combination of Manning and Hakeem Nicks, there is no way the Giants aren't going all the way.

I'm going to the 4th preseason Bears game vs. the Browns tonight. Let's see how long they keep Cutler in, just because the 4th preseason game is the most useless. Normally I wouldn't care less about seeing the Browns as they are terrible, but I want to see if they put cry-baby Quinn in at all. Go Bearsss

I'm a Bronco Fan....... :(

So we'll be lucky to win one game this year.

As for my Superbowl Pick?

NFC looks pretty tough this year, Bears...Cards should be alright...the NFC East is always tough...Minnesota should be alright..not because of Favre, hes actually going to hurt the team a bit, but Peterson is going to have an MVP Season and could give them a division title. (Green Bay is my pick there though)

NFC, I'm going with..as weird as this sounds...Chicago. Cutler finds someone to throw to (hester has no hands and isnt a very good WR) and continue to play solid D they could make a run at the bowl. I'll stick with Da Bears to rep the NFC.

As for AFC...

Colts arent as good as they used to be. Steelers are the champs and will be in the playoffs for sure. Pats have to hope Brady stays healthy or they have no season. Then you have the teams who are usually in it and will contend...Miami, Baltimore, San Diego and so on. But I'm going to stick with the Champs. Honestly, If Brady stays healthy...they could go to the Bowl and it wont be a shocker. But I think hes going to get hurt at some point in the season and it will be a KO for the Pats.

So my Superbowl Pick is....

Pittsburgh Steelers

vs.

Chicago Bears

Old School Teams in the Superbowl. I see the Steelers repeating because their D is pretty touch and can keep Cutler in check.

I hope I'm wrong and the Broncos make it....but I'm a fan not a moron.

I like your picks a lot Brian and mine would reflect similar(although, even being a Bears fan, I'm not sure I would have them going all the way, even though I would love it).

The one problem I had with your post is about Hester, but I have different reasons for it. The past few years, has he played the WR position well? NO! But, if you have looked how the offensive coaching has been with them, you would realize why. When they have put Hester in in the past, it has been for about 1 play at a time and then they take him out... and what do they plan on doing during that play? Throwing it to him... So what does the defense do? They double cover him and he doesn't do anything, so they take him out. Every time they have put him in, it has only been for very few plays, so he is automatically doubled. I have been saying for the last year that they need him in for a whole series, or even 6 or 7 plays in a row and not throw it to him, so it will get some of the coverage off his back, and that is what they have started doing a bit in preseason. As soon as he is in every play, he won't constantly be thought of as a threat, and they can use him more.

Suffering in the D. In our house, we're just lookin for a W.

With that said, I like the Steelers, but repeating is pretty hard. I am thinking it could be Philly V. Titans.

Eagles take it home.
