Yea, I'm certain there will be ups and downs for this kid. The thing that stands out to me is the clutch hitting.

Yes, I do really like the guy's abilities.

Yes, fantastic for a rookie!

:)

His up side is huge. If he can be consistant like his is now. He'll do well. He has a ton of hype around him. Even as a Mets fan, I hope he does well.

Ugh, gross.

That was some sick stuff the other night against your Mets.

I'm happy that the Braves have this type of player.

And Billy Wagner....

:)

Heyward had another great game today with 2 - 2 out RBI's and the Braves crushed the Padres 8-0.

The Braves have a 7 1/2 game lead in the NL east.

.261
11 Homers
48 RBI's

Good for a rookie but a rookie puts up stats like these, if not better, every year.

He's on pace to be about equal to what Gordon Beckham had last year (when he gets to 103 games which is what Beckham played last year).

No where near the pace of Ryan Braun's rookie year.

He does, however, have great physical stature which equals potential.

I still think Heyward is certainly going to become one of those super duper megastars.

But I really thought he would have an amazing first year like Pujols and Braun. Still time to turn on fire, but obviously he's going to fall short in some cats like hrs and avg imo.
