Wheee! Got a little bet up at the weekend....
Saturday morning, I'm looking at odds for the World Cup quarter finals, I see germany at 33/20 to win in 90 minutes - nice odds! So I mix it with Brazil in 90 mins at 4/5 and argentina in 90 mins at 11/10, the treble and all 3 doubles, $5 on each. Over $100 return!

Down to the nitty-gritty this week. I like the way rytdiaq thinks. Rooting for Germany and Netherlands in the semis. Haven't had much luck with my pre-tournament brackets, but one never gives up, keeps plugging away.
Poll: For my third midfielder on my McDonald's FIFA World Cup Fantasy Team, would you recommend I go with Lahm or Kroos? I'm planning a 4-3-3, and like Sneijder and Mascherano for sure, to fit my team budget. Other options instead of a German would be Gustavo, DeJong, Gago or Fernandinho. Would have to juggle full roster if tried to fit in Schweinsteiger, Oscar or Oezil, with their prices. Thanks!

Brazil national football team can be so hypocritical. They're appealing to get Silva for semifinals. So wait, in 2002, when Germany played against South Korea, Ballack got a 2nd yellow card, 1st one from quarterfinals against the US, so he was suspended for the match in the finals against Brazil. This costed Germany although Germany still would've lost even without him since Brazil was a powerhouse, filled with Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho, Roberto Carlos, etc.
But yet, they're not willing to take the consequences when it's the other way around? WAH WAH WAH, cry cry cry. Cry hard to FIFA to try to get silva back while having double standard.
Take the consequence like a man and play as it is. Tough luck but it is what it is. Just because you're the host of the tournament doesn't give you the right to bend the rules.

I just had the craziest dream last night.
It was the World Cup semi final between the hosts Brazil & Germany and whilst everyone seemed to be favouring Brazil, there where still doubts and it may have to go to penalties.
The £50 million defender David Luiz and star left back Marcello of Real Madrid would hold firm and the home crowd would act as a twelth man on the pitch.
The Brazillians with their slick passing and skills honed on the beaches of Rio, the Germans more methodical and worked at consistancy.
What could go wrong?........oh

I went to brush me teeth when it was 3-0, when I came back, it was 5-0. I turned off the TV...
There is no such difference between the two teams. I expected Germany to win but only with 1-2 goals. Something went terribly wrong in Brasil's team...and they still have one mach to play against Argentina or Nederland for the 3rd place.

saddened to see that the argentina v netherlands game was rigged, the goalie was not changed for NED and why did Vlaar kick the 1st penalty, so obviously rigged it is not funny, netherlands are the real champions of the world
