hope this is a real fight and not just to get attention towards the end of the season. because if Hamilton and Mercedes win again, I’ll think it’s an artificial competition. In general, Formula 1 needs new champions, this will attract more attention and better marketing.

The season has become interesting because there is a fight for victory between Lewis and Max. But if you take it as a whole, it is very boring. Watching 2 out of 20 cars fight is boring. All hope for new cars next year. And return the refueling. !!

I've been watching F1 for a long time, and I consider this season one of the best in years I can't remember a season as good as this one in the last five years or so

Estou torcendo para o máximo, mas hamiltom é muito bom.

Even though my Spanish is rusty, I was so pleased to see Fernando Alonso get back on the podium again last weekend, Fernando is a brilliant driver and if he had the best car, he would again be a major threat. I can't see him getting a top drive now but I can dream, F1 needs rivalries, Prost/Senna, Hunt/Lauda, Mansell/Senna/Piquet, Schumacher/Alonso/Hill, Vettel/Rosberg/Hamilton and now we have Hamilton/Verstappen - have we saved the best till last?

Since '98-'99 there is first season. Though DRS and driving out of track destroy all sense of racing.

For me, the 2007 and 2010 seasons were the most exciting, where in the last race, if they were favorable, up to four of them had a chance to win the world title.
Regardless, compared to last seasons, this end promises to be exciting as well, with two great riders battling for the world title.
I am curious to see who will come out better.

Well, today is the last race of the season. and oh surprise! there is intrigue in formula 1))). Verstapen can finally remove Hamilton, they have an equal number of points. Verstapen won the qualification, starts 1, Hamilton 2, but the bottom line is that both of them strategically do not even need to strive to win the race, and most importantly, finish it ahead of the opponent.
I am not a fan of Verstapen or Hamilton, but here I am for the Verstapen title because I think it is better for Formula 1 in general.

in Formula 1, the new champion Verstapen. if this had not happened, I think that the fans of these races in the next season diminished. and so now there is a real competition.
now it remains for the forces of the teams to be leveled, that is, at least to approach the first two teams. and in general, so that there are no obvious outsiders and everyone has a chance to score points, at least in some kind of races.

This was something special! I was supporting Max from the beginning of this season and it was absolutely crazy and intense season. During the last lap I couldn't sit at one place and glad that Max did it without crash. It was an amazing season and will stay probably long long time now

It was a sad, sad way for the title to be decided - Verstappen won the world title because he got lucky at the end - yes pitting him was the last throw of the dice and they needed a miracle but lets all be honest here - if Latifi does not crash and there is no safety car - Hamilton was 11/12 seconds ahead and would never have been caught...

Yes Verstappen was excellent this season - was he the best driver? No - it was very much 50/50 - Max started the season strong and Lewis was brilliant at the end but that is no way for any driver to have to lose the title - sickening without doubt.

indeed, even though he was aggressive, and dangerous maybe, he never seemed to be aiming an accident, as Prost and Senna. Have no doubt if it was the other way around things would ve been different.

Still better than 2008. And luck? Just think of SIlverstone, whrn Hamiltos should have been penalized but was actually helped by the red flag...

The race was boring. Only 3 situations can be noticed. 1. An attempt to overtake Max on 1 lap and go out of the track 2 protecting Sergio from Lewis 3. Overtaking on the last lap. Nothing else happened. Lewis was leaving Max. There was no fight.

I agree that the fight was 50/50 and there was no clear champion this season.
but I do not agree with you that Hamilton needs to complain about the fate of losing the title, and even how it turned out. he won titles, having only a team-mate in real competition, and somehow Rosberg beat him. he had a "car - champion car". I'm not so much begging for Hamilton's merits, maybe it's even better for him - he now has even greater motivation.

Firstly, I never said Hamilton complained, this was a post aimed at the change of rules at the last minute. There's no doubt Verstappens quality but he won that race and the world title on a race he should never have won because he benefited from blind luck and not of a champion who won the race the right way. The tournament race director also contributed to this in a massive way.
