Carson had a rough return, Raiders didn't score one point. Probably just rust though, he hasn't seen action in a long time since. It's a gamble considering what the Raiders gave up, only time will tell. I have no idea.

I'm a Bengals fan and I think this trade is hilarious. You can even make a case Carson should not even be worth just a 2nd round pick. He's a good passer and Oakland desperately needed one after Campbell got hurt, great trade Mike Brown! He's still one of my favorite QBs but I'm guessing we will look back on this trade and laugh at Oakland.

Always hated the Raiders, since 'sorta' a Broncos fan. But glad to see him making a difference, and love their young WRing corps AND Michael Bush. If they make the playoffs, and that's looking more likely each week, whatever they gave up for Palmer will have likely been well worth it.

So far this trade has turned out pretty well for the raiders. Even though tebow is winning, it's most likely going to look like the raiders will win the nfc west and get a 3 or 4 seed. Very dangerous team.

It looks like the result of the trade is not going to be good for the raiders, unless they win their last 2 games. Losing a game against detroit which they really needed to win may have killed their playoff hopes. I don't see them getting a wildcard and they better hope denver loses their last 2 games.

Looks like for now, this trade failed the raiders big time. Which is awesome for bengals fans like me since oakland gave up way too much for palmer, and the bengals making the playoffs over palmer is pretty cool.
Raiders will definitely compete next year though, especially if darren mcfadden stays healthy.

I don't know how we lost to Houston when we played them in the regular season...the thing is we didn't even get beat by Forster and there run game, TJ Yates beat us. I think the Bengals are in a great position to win a playoff game.

Also the Bearcats have been rolling in basketball ever since the Xavier fight.

I agree. I think the Houston game just got away from us.. We had it won for sure.. Im truly amazed at how UC has responded after the Xavier fight....After all those years of UC being the so called thugs, looks like its Xavier who are the thugs now and dysfunctional thugs at that.

Have to say pretty ignorant move firing Hue Jackson after one year... No way you can really tell anything about a coach after one year. Hue Jackson at least knows Palmer...That would have helped out next season, but I guess the GM is power trippin.

Yea - they did end up with an 8-8 record - I was surprised at that firing.

I think the reason Jackson got fired is because Oakland has a new general manager, and new gm's usually want their own coach. I was surprised at the firing until they got a new gm. Hopefully he gets a good job somewhere else since he is a good coach.
