Hi everyone,

I have created a March Madness group on ESPN for those interested in competing for the glory of picking the best bracket this year.


Seeing that this is year 1 for me doing it here, this will NOT be for any money. However, if there's enough interest this year then I would be open to a real money pool, pending CC approval.

I haven't sat down yet to see the full bracket, but while Villanova is one of the top seeds I don't see them getting there this year... Just a pure gut feeling but

HA...I like that. I think Nova's overrated too - I loved them a couple of years ago when they won...crazy game that was. I don't like them to win this year but after going through the bracket I have them going deep.

I'll give it a try despite knowing very little about college basketball. I have completed my bracket.

That's the beauty of this - you don't need to know a lot about college basketball. The number of upsets that are possible, half the games in round 1 & pretty well anything past that are coin flips.

Well 51 people out of over 17 million picked all 16 winners on day 1. Out of those in the CC group,

ThatGuy leads the way with 14/16 correct, missing on St. Bonaventure and Arizona
Ribby and myself are close behind with 13/16
OzExorcist got 12/16
t1riel has 11/16.


Someone I can't identify - espn99362707 got 10/16 but sent Arizona to cut the nets down in San Antonio - and they lost yesterday to Buffalo. So that's our first busted bracket.


16 more games today to finish the first round - can ThatGuy keep his bracket going, or will someone catch him from behind.

As you can see, I really have no idea

For someone that got 10/16 with no idea Id say you did pretty good. Today's a new day with a new slate of games, you could be right there by the end of the weekend - that's the fun of this tournament. After Friday it becomes really hard to predict!
