The snooker masters started yesterday with the defending championship Mark Selby (who me dad hates ) beating Mark Davis 6 - 5, thought it would be a bigger margin than that tbh.

John Higgins beat Stuart Bingham 6 - 2.

Who is your favourite player??

Mine is Ronnie O'Sullivan, the guy is just class imo.

Watch snooker almost 7 years . always liked the game O'Sullivan too , its fast game is addictive

But recently become a big fan Ding Junhui . Chinese player shows just a great game, and at the table, its tranquility really like .

I look forward to the final Masters Ding Junhui vs O'Sullivan will be entertaining match.

And yet, the past six months a pity Trump, I hope he is not yet fully open, and show their best game. I think it is too young, partying, girls, money, all this affects the game and after a couple of years, he will focus on the game seriously.

Not a huge snooker fan per se (being American it's kinda hard to be), but am a lifelong pool & billiards enthusiast so have seen quite a few matches. Always enjoyed Steve Davis and Ronnie O'Sullivan.

On a slightly related note, I just found out last week that we finally got a local APA league here several months ago. Went to the opening of the new 9-ball session last night. Chances are good I'll be playing at least 9-ball, possibly 8-ball also. Getting the bug again after a hiatus of several years despite having a huge investment in table, cues, and gear. Felt good to dust off the cobwebs last night. Think I'll go upstairs and hit a few balls tonight, actually -- while I did well last night considering how rusty I am (and pretty much everyone in the 9-ball league majorly sucks LOL), it was obvious I've got some warming back up to do...

I love to play 8 ball, I am not that good but I am very fluky

I don't know the rules for billiards, I have played that on the wii, but still have no clue how to play it

Its funny I do see O'Sullivan as the same as Barton, but like you say he actually has talent, unlike Barton

Spent a lot of my teens playing pool,luved to play snooker always thought it showed who could really play.Played a lot of eight ball as well but never liked it as much........+1 on Stephen Hendry being the best he was like a machine back in the day......scorp

I watched the game between Ding and Murphy, pretty good game that was. I actually thought the game would of ended 6 -5 instead of 6 - 4. They both had frames they would like to forget

Missed Ronnie's game but I knew he would win with a big margin like 6 -1 against Milkins.

Yea I loved Jimmy White, he was class.

Today's game I was wanting Allen to win but he missed a lot of his chances to win. He ended up losing 6-5 to Robertson. Mad that is was the same score last year

Walden played well to comeback and beat Hawkins 6-5 he was 4-2 down at one point

R,O.suckavillian = Ronaldo - Plays the game with most flair ever seen can play 2 handed(helps but not essential) Ronaldo same does a lot of impressive step overs again help but not essential both absolute world class

Sir Steven Hendry = Messi = both play the game simple but 2 a standard unmatched by any1 2 date both quite but deadly in there own right!

Side Note - In my eyes both Ronaldo and r,0.suckavillian could possibly challenge title as best ever if they both dominate there sport for next 2/3 years but just not yet

Hendry himself said a few times that ronnie is the best ever...

You also have to take into account that when stephen dominated in the 90's the standard was not as good as it was in ronnies era.....he only had jimmy white as a true challenge.....jimmy is another player that was great, also one of my favs...

Also I think ronaldo is better than messi....a more complete and influential player for club and country.....messi has never quite did it for country.

snizzle im fae scotland tae man, and hendry was one of my heroes growing up but ronnie is just better...prime v prime ronnie would destroy stephen in a world final....

aye but you're forgetting the players they faced before they got to the final...

prob about 2 or 3 good players in stephens time who were world class and 6 or 7 in ronnies era who are world class...

Walden broke, and Ronnie potted a lucky shot, which he apologized for then cleared the table in 1 go, the guy is amazing. Ronnie has 4 frames to Walden's 0

I just looked in the match replay, Ronnie today very good. And I think it's a record, he scored in the last 5 frames 500 unanswered points , this I do not remember what still was..
