I have two questions:

The first one occurred to me the other day, when I was playing a spin and go. I should have marked the hand, so I could show it clearly, but this is more or less how it went:
I raise all in preflop as a short stack, and I get two callers. They both check the flop and on the turn one goes all in and the other calls.
Now, in hindsight, I can see that my hand had about 55% equity when I went all in, but because the others went all in on the turn (and that is the moment I got to know their hands), it shows in my HM that I had about 20% equity, which is the equity I had on the turn.
This doesn't seem to be correct if I want to know my chip EV, which should have been taken from the moment preflop and not on the turn.

Second issue came up a few times already in these spin and go's.
I am all in preflop in the first hand (I know I sound like a maniac :p ), and I lose it (even more maniac style).
I register immediately for a new tournament, but the only hand from the previous tournament is not added to my database somehow.
I noticed this the first time when I had AA and called an all in preflop.
Later I was reviewing my hands and noticed it said I never got AA. Since then I had my HM visible open next to my game, and a similar situation arose, and again it was not added to my hand history.

I have just found the solutions by accident now. So I just thought to share it so others with the same problem can solve it right away.
Apparently, for some reason, HM doesn't always assign the tag 'spin and go' to the tournament, when busting on the first hand. I have the feeling that this is because I close the pokerstars window to fast after, but I could be wrong.
When I filter for the tag 'spin and go' it obviously doesn't appear in the list, because it doesn't have a tag.
So the solution is very simple. Going to the tournament in the 'tournaments' report, and not using any filter for tag, you can find the problematic tournament. Then a right click on it, and assigning it the tag 'spin and go' and voila, problem solved.

Any tournament with more than 1 table (and some single table games) will require a separate Tournament Summary/History file to be imported for HM2 to properly calculate the size, places, and prizes. Without this information it is impossible for HM2 to work out the correct results. The only sites that currently write these summary files that we support right now is Pokerstars, Full Tilt, and Pacific. If your site does not write summaries, or you experience any discrepancies with the results, you will need to manually edit the results via the Reports > Tournament > Tournaments > right-click > edit - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/que...rnaments{47}+Tournament{47}+Tournament+Editor

You may need to request and import any/all of your old tournament histories and import those to HM2 to correct issues with old tournaments showing wrong results. Stars did not write the tourney summaries to your hard drive in the past, like FTP did, so please enable the option in the PokerStars client via their lobby options and make sure that HM2 has added both the hand history and summary folder to your Auto Import Folder Configuration and this will ensure future tournaments have correct results automatically.
http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/642/Poker+Stars+Setup

For older tournaments email support@pokerstars.com and ask for ALL your old Hand Histories and Tournament Audit Files in .htm format. They will send you an email with links to zip files of your hand histories. Download all the zip files. Right-Click > Extract the contents of each zip file to a new folder and then manually import those files by going to the Importing option in the HM Ribbon menu and choosing import from folders in the manual import section. You may see import errors as some of these hands are probably already imported.

The tournament summaries should be attached to the email as .htm files. Download the attachments and repeat the process of importing all the files. If the files are sent as .html you will need to rename them (Right-Click > Rename) from .html to .htm extensions otherwise they will not import. You can view this FAQ for more information on importing emailed hand histories:
http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/2022/How+are+emailed+hands+imported+into+Holdem+Manager?

If you continue to have problems please zip and email the problem hand histories and tournament summaries to us.

All original hands that are auto-imported get moved to an archive for performance reasons. Your \HM2Archive is in C:\HM2Archive by default, but you may have put it anywhere. The archive should be organized by \Month\DayOfMonth e.g C:\HM2Archive\2009\07\31 or if it was auto-imported with v7283+ it would be in C:\HM2Archive\SiteName\YYYY\MM\DD.

When sending any files please zip them (right-click > send to > compressed folder) before attaching them to an email. If the attachment is larger than 10MB please upload them to a file hosting site like dropbox, then 'copy public link' and paste the download link directly into the support ticket email.

Make sure it is set up - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/711/Pacific+Poker

Please enable the Settings > Feature Logging > [x] 'HUDStats' and 'FastPoker' option and increase the Max number of log files option to 10 so old logs are saved with date/time stamps. You can also enable this before you launch HM2 from the Start Menu - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/2581/Feature+Logging#startmenu

Please reproduce the problem and:
- Attach a screen shot of the table/desktop
- Try to include the Active Sessions tab and/or Sessions Report that also includes your windows clock and poker client lobby clock in the screen shot
- Save a copy of the original Hand history for the table with the issue
- Close HM2 and attach your HM2Logs folder with a detailed description of what you were doing and what problems you were experiencing - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/1921/How+Do+I+Send+a+Log+File+to+Holdem+Manager+Support?

With all the above information we should be able to narrow down what is causing the issue. If all the information is not included we will need to email you again to request it.

When it comes to the HUD itself what makes you better than your evil twin Hm4 and what makes you better than drive hud? :)

I want to know the HUD itself not really the graphs...

Hey guys, pretty new to this with using hem4, had set it up with
vpip/pfr/postflop aggression
tot 3bet/tot fold to 3bet/ tot fold to steal/samples

so lets say i have 1k sample hands on one opponent,
and hes 3bet is "4.3" is that like % of the vpip?

How should i use that? What is a loose/tight 3beting range reading to the hud?

Pretty much wonder the same with the fold to 3bet statistic.

All stats are based on the opportunity to take such action. They are not based on all stats.

Loose/Tight/aggro/passive is fairly dependent on the game type and limits, as well as the overall ranges of the player. It is best to consult a forum of users that play similar games to you.

Question I play Jackpots on America's Card Room (ACR) I know the hand histories are not instant for these but I saw a Hand Histories tab with an option to downlaod hand histories to text.

Is there a way to somehow export this to HM and then when I play be able to have my HUD stats for opponents available to view.

I am guessing once I can import it I can manually search for opponent but is there a short work around?

Also on Stars I play alot of CC homegames which are play money is there a way to import play money hands to HM. I currently just rely on what stats I have from real money games on oppenets and update a regular Stars Player Note with stats I use.

The jackpots are an open request. They had not previously written the HH files as played, you had to request them.

HM2 does not support play money. HM3 will.

Hi, I'm using the trial version and created a hud. Yay! I'm just wondering if there is a detailed description somewhere of what each stat means? Some stats are easy to know what they are, but some are not. Thanks!

I have another question :) Today I was playing on ACR in a tournament and when I got switched tables all the stats including mine went back to total hand size of 0. Why did the hud lose all the previous history of my play during the tournament and is there something in settings I can modify to prevent this happening during a tournament?

Are you referring to the hero HUD stats or opponent HUD stats?

If it is for you, HM is designed to only show your session stats at that table as we felt it was a lot more useful for a couple of reasons:
1) A lot of people will have a huge amount of stats on themselves so it avoids performance issues having to crunch numbers to show these for yourself
2) A lot of regulars are very aware of their own stats and when you have a lot of stats accumulated it would take a huge swing to for the stat values to change with bigger samples
3) Its much more beneficial to see your session stats to get an idea of how aggressive or passive people will see you since you sat at that table. (again even if its against a reg you'll know yourself your overall image or at least you should)
4) You can easily check your overall stats in the reports section to remind yourself of any stats but again most people know their stats pretty well.

If it is for your opponents, there are some settings that can cause the HUD to show less hands, or to reset. Please make sure that these steps are followed to set the HUD to show all hands:

Make sure the HUD Settings > General Settings > Common Settings > [ ] 'Use session stats' is disabled. Also check the Table HUD Options to be sure it is set to All Hands and not Session Stats - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/2831/Table+HUD

- HUD Settings > HUD Filters should all be set to '2 to 10' and make sure that both check box options under Filter by limits are checked [x].

- HUD Settings > HUD Filters > Filter by date / numer of hands > 'Include hands newer than X months old' should be set to 120 and 'Use last X hands' should be set to 0.

- HUD Settings > Tournament Filters are all set to '1 to 81+'. Changing these filters to anything other than their default settings will make the HUD Stats change drastically based on the number of players at the table and/or their stack sizes in tournaments.

If that doesn't fix the issues, please reproduce the problem and attach a screen shot - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/13776/windows-use-snipping-tool-to-capture-screenshots - showing the HUD, the Report for one of the selected players with the problems, and pictures of the HUD Filters and Tournament Filters and attach a log file as explained in this FAQ - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/1921/How+Do+I+Send+a+Log+File+to+Holdem+Manager+Support?

With all the above information we should be able to narrow down what is causing the issue. If all the information is not included we will need to email you again to request it.

Thanks! The list is great but I'm looking for the definition of postflop aggression factor and couldn't see it. Is there some way I can search for the definition of that? I tried searching in the page you posted for postflop aggression factor, but I didn't see anything that looked like a definition. It would be useful if when you are creating your hud you could look at definitions of each stat.

On my second question of my stats disappearing, yes it was my stats that disappeared in the middle of the tournament when I was put at another table by the system. How do you define a session? Is it an entire tournament or just your table at each table during a tournament? So then you would have several sessions per tournament depending on how many times they made you change tables? I would just rather see my stats for the whole tournament and call that a session. What if your 5th table has people from your first and they remember you and how you played? Then the stats which reset on table 5 shown don't necessarily reflect the info they have on the way you played before in the tournament. Also in one tournament Holdem Manager said I was a mouse, a dice and then a whale. What does this mean? Should this change so much?
I checked all my settings and they were all what you said they should be except you wrote - include hands newer than X months old' should be set to 120 and 'Use last X hands' should be set to 0. Mine is set to 12 months not 120 is that ok? Thanks!!!
