It's quite simple no business does anything unless it makes them money in the end. pokerstars has obviously figured out that majority freeroll players don't ever deposit money and only play freerolls. And those that do cash in the freerolls never put that money back in play. They let it collect up until they have enough to withdraw.

So not only do freeroll players NEVER deposit.......freeroll players also NEVER create rake. That EQUALS ZERO PROFIT for Pokerstars from freeroll players.

Do people that have daily jobs work for free? No one needs to answer this the answer is obvious.

This stuff use to be taught in high schools.

Cheers!!!

Are you saying that PokerStars is rigged? Well, the variance is so great that it makes me angry, but you said you can prove it, can you? I'm not doubting you, but if I doubt you will make my lifelong dream of knowing the truth about PokerStars come true.
Pretty sure you were not asking me this question. I never said it was rigged and I dont believe it is.

PokerStars lost its leadership and lost a significant part of the market. At the same time, PokerStars has lost a significant part of its players and obviously they can no longer afford the promotional costs they could afford before.

Sometimes in pokerstars tournaments and also in Sunday Millions tournaments, players do not reach the guaranteed tournament prize pool
For example, to reach the guaranteed Sunday Million prize pool, a minimum of 10,000 players is needed, but sometimes there are as few as 9,600.
This means that the losses in the tournament in question amount to $4,000.
(yes they still get about 9600 dollars in rake profit from those 9600 players but that's another question )
yes even with 9600 players pokerstars makes a profit of 5600 dollars-although I'm sure they would like much more

If we talk about the Cardchat freerolls that pokerstars took away from us, then it's not nearly as big a loss for the pokerstars poker site.
They make way more than that, the rake is at least $9 per person so if gtd is met exactly they make $90,000

THey can't run their business by thinking about which is the least loss....

Freerolls are marketing, so enough players who play don't deposit or don't spend thos winnings then why would they??

HE wasn't saying Pokertsars is rigged, he was saying thats what you see on various forums, players moaning and saying this about their business!

Probably because they thought it didn't worth it anymore, which is unfortunately. I know that many freerolls players don't even play with freerolls winnings in the poker room - there are many players that cashout freerolls winnings to play in another room. I think they could keep the CC freerolls (which I also used to like very much) and have prizes like T$ tickets, so, the players would need to play in the site.

I feel that people are more passionate about live poker now, and there are more and more tournaments with higher bonuses.

They just don't want freerollers. They want people who will pay them rake.

everything is right... pokerstars is a business project, they gradually removed all kinds of promotions and bonuses, and freerolls were a matter of time, which they closed about a year ago...

Power path is still there, people who want to build a roll can just make a minimum deposit and play 1 micro game every day for the ticket.

I know that Poker Stars has changed a lot over the years, but it still has a very large field of players. Wouldn't it still be feasible to have a freeroll tournament grid? I discovered this forum through the freerolls that Poker Stars had.
I stopped playing at PokerStars when they stopped running their freerolls. I agree that poker is a business, and it makes no sense for them to invest in free freerolls. But whether it makes sense for them to lose players is another question. I think their decisions are not very far-sighted.
