I'm thinking of depositing at either carbon or lock. Do they let u deposit through western union like FT and stars did? And do they both give rakeback? I would def want rakeback. And if I sign up with CC promo does that include rakeback? And has anyone played on lock? How is the software on both? I'm assuming my PT3 will work on both but who knows.

Cake Poker

I checked deposit information and previously available echecks is no longer an option. At this point I cannot see the need to deposit, as withdrawal would probably be difficult. Oh well time to play live more.

I'm wondering if the feds are monitoring sites like this to see where U.S. players are depositing their money now

I think they pretty much know where the
us players are playing at, ESP. Compared to
how few sites are taking us players compared to the
ones that don't. And I'm sure they have a way to monitor
the network sites like merge and cake.

Well I just created an account on Lock Poker, seems pretty cool - standard stuff. I don't plan on depositing any money, but it has freerolls.

Anyone have any comments or experiences with this site?

Safe for U.S. players, quick payouts, usually a week or two tops with check. Soft tables. Lock, Carbon, Players Only and Overbet all share the same player base (Merge)

Just wondering if anyone has tried or currently plays on any of the "subscription" sites like ClubWPT or SpadeClub (do they even still exist?). Since they are using a different business model I wonder if they would be exempt from any future DOJ action? I know they have the reputation of not necessarily being the best poker, but the way things are now..... Just a thought.

You have to be careful with places like that because some of the games may be rigged. As for me on online sites,i prefer to play omaha. Other than pokerstars and fulltilt, no websites really had much omaha action. I think the biggest draw for most players now is the game variety, alot of these sites that are still allowing US players are so solely fixated on holdem. Also, the guarantees are nothing like on Pstars and Fulltilt and the range of buy ins is significantly less. I think i might just sit out of online poker for awhile until this gets resolved or another site other than fulltilt or pstars really changes up and gets some good traffic. Im interested to see how this plays out.:bawling:

Looks like my new home will be Carbon. I might try Bodog later, but for now I'm gonna play where I have an account. I'm IBEWJeff on Carbon as well, so see you around.

Hey, hows the software at Carbon? I heard that you can't easily use a HUD (at least for HEM users) on MTT's as it can't find your table. I'm an ex-full tilter. Am I just going to be depressed playing over there? :(

Yep Bodog allows US players. I just tried to reactivate a years old account i had with them, turns out there was 52cents left on the account when i stopped playing on it and they want me to send them the credit card info for verification before they will reactivate the account. I sent there support a email seeing if there was a way around this, since i dont have that card anymore and dont really care about the 50c that was left on it.

Ive been playing Lock, and would like to try to bring that BR up, but the traffic is so slow, even during what would be peak hours. Not sure how much better Bodogs is going to be, but not much in the way of choices left since the big 2 are our of service for the US players.

That sure seems reasonable. I recently deposited $50 to start playing the money addeds that CardsChat runs on Bodog. They are nice games with small fields and a shot at some decent money.

I'm also playing the SNG's on Bodog but the problem with Bodog is you can only play 4 at a time. I've played up to 12 at a time!!

I'm hoping they - the 5 networks that are now left - Merge, Cake, Bodog,Yatahay and Everleaf don't have issues with cashouts, but you've got to seriously think to yourself, logically, aren't payment processors going to be kind of unwilling to process payments now? I mean 2 of them went to jail! Who's going to risk their butt for this now?

So many negative effects... here are a few off the top of my head

I will *always* miss Rush Poker though, that was the greatest idea in online poker ever.

You have to admit that Pokerstars and FTP had the best software for multitablers. I've tried it on all the major networks and their software was just the best. The Yatahay software is a complete joke! Cake and Merge are OK now but not as fast as FTP/PS were. Building and testing that software took hundreds of man hours that is now gone for USA players. Also remember you could setup programs like AutoHotKey for FTP where you could just click F1 to fold. Those tools don't work on the remaining rooms (I'm pretty sure of this but not 100%)

They do but I hear there are restrictions such as you can only win $500 per month. Also their software servers are pretty crappy compared to FTP/PS and they probably won't be able to handle the new traffic!

That was then, and this is now

Iit has only been like 4 days since Black Friday - so if someone withdrew on black friday after the bad news, they don't know if and when they'll get their check. I guess it will take 2 weeks to see huh? I'm going to try a payout on Bodog this Wedsnday hell or highwater.

I'll be looking for payout threads - those would be pretty useful right now.

Hi Guys,

If anyone has any CarbonPoker specific quesions, I'm here to help your guys.

Regards,

Atil

One thing I wish Carbon would do is make more than one "lobby entry" for the 6 max sit and goes. For example, Otter ROom $5.50 there is only one slot, and it always takes a long time to fill up. Make 4 slots and then you'll have more game playing and Merge will make more rake
