Well I think the idea here does not revolve around fairness - it's all about profit. The site had an opportunity to recover a loss - which they did because there was a link between the stepson and father.
Signing up accounts from relative's or friend's homes is not uncommon, so the possibility exists that the father actually did own the delinquent account. The truth matters not here because the poker sites own all the power. If they want to keep your money for whatever reason - they can - knowing fullwell that the average pokerjoe cannot take them to task. Or can they? Inquiring minds want to know. Has anyone challenged a decision made by a poker site and won?
Can we start a new thread with this idea? Is there such a thing as fairness when you hold no power?

Bodog Accounts

the way you could have negative balance is if you don't have the money in your checking account or on the cedit card when you deposit.:deal:

I have gone rounds getting accounts funded, at bodog and ub. I have used ewalletexpress, which seems to be tied up with bodog cuz Ive never seen them anywhere else ( same w/ nucharge). With ewe, you have an option of "express funding" which incurs an additional 8.8%, but it allows you up to $300 that you can instantly deposit at bodog. Now, if your banks has nsf, ewe charges $29, but your bodog account is unaffected. I know this, unfortunately, from a personal experience.

I have also used virtualvisa from giftcards.com, and that is purchased w/ a credit card.

In any case, I do not see how it is at all possible to get a negative balance at bodog... so I emailed thie customer support, which btw has always been quick to respond and nice... via email. They informed me that it is "100% impossible for someone to get a negative balance." They have "gone to great lengths to insure the legitimate funding of accounts and to make withdrawals as easy as funding"

I have tried to call them b4 and found that you can never get in voice contact with them, unless you leave a message, and even then, my response came via email.

IMHO, this sounds like someone suffered a really bad beat and is making this up, OR, like another suggested, a competing site trying to bash what I find to be the best poker site of all (except for the recent end to the 10% reload bonus they use to have)

I also asked them about this matter of freezing one persons account for activity of any sort on another persons account. their response was "the only time two unassociated accounts would experience any interruption or interference from us is when fraudulent or collusive activity is suspected and under investigation."

though Ive had my ups and downs at bodog, customer service has always been top notch. one of the few sites you can get a live person on the phone at any time. in the days of neteller you also got withdrawals within a few hours. linked?? never heard of that.

I think you can get a negative balance by making a deposit from a checking account.... bodog lets you play the money right away, even though the deposit has not cleared from your bank... so if you lose all the money, and stop the transfer at the bank.. bodog probably is out the money... not for sure if this is what happened but could happen... lord dont try it though... that would be bad LOL

I think it's important for people to be heard, Madness. Because I am an optimist, I always try to look for the positive slant on things. We have already heard from various sources that negative balances can occur, so we should just accept that information and learn from it.

I think it's good advice not to allow anyone to sign into pokersites where you have an account from your pc - no matter what the reason.

Don't drink all the beer though, eating pizza at the moment and really feel like one.

Ive been playin on bodog for almost 3 years and never had a problem cashing, just cashed 2 weeks ago and it was just as fast as any other time. I also make large cashouts because I do alot of high stakes on their sportsbook which I enjoy very much. I will be faithfull to bodog until the end they are a great site if you want to have the works. Poker; sportsbook, casino all in one. Really is a great site. And if you are a skeptical new sign-up there ,dont worry a bit they are great and will treat you great. The guy with the problem must have violated something in the user agreement, his story makes absolutely no sense to me.

People you need to check other sites that have information regards to BODOG or any other sites you are interested in playing on. By the way, Las Vegas Advisor has removed BODOG from there Recommended List. I wonder why?
