U should have asked them first if its ok to register again. U did not (and we both know that u EXACTLY knew that its not ok in GENERAL) and now i have to live with the consequences.

I agree with u they handled this very poorly but thats how these sites operate. They only do intense checks when someone tries to withdraw.

Scam? No it was U who came back without asking first and it was U who violated the TOS. Yes they comfirmed ur acccount but u did not tell them u were banned previously and they probably do not have time to check every random new account in depth.

Would be very surprised if any regulator will help in this case.

In my very opinion sites should not let players play for real money if its not crystal clear the player can deposit/withdraw. But they di this because otherwise they would lose customers, mostly recs who only deposit.
This is a scam. I used the SAME email address as the previous account. It's not like I was hiding anything. And they waited to act until I tried to withdraw. I already verified months prior. They even froze my account to do another security check.

They knew what they were doing. That is why this is a scam.

I'm not sure what part of banned you're missing...., that means you can't play there.... but what do you do.?, you create a new account and run up 3600 and now you can't get it out and you're mad at them for "letting" you violate the sites rules you already knew you were breaking???... yeah I'm dumb😎👍

I think that right after creating the registration, I should have tried to withdraw money and only then play seriously. Or talk to them right away about your registration being banned.

Yea banned on pokerstars Global, I never played there. I played on PokerStars Ontario.

And yea if you think it's okay for someone to just pocket someones money who has been playing straight your pretty dumb. That's a pretty dumb thing to think.

Also it's pretty dumb to think that they should be rewarded by not verifying people properly by then being able to steal there money. Must be nice. Why even verify? Just say you tried and take the money. **** it why not. MK_ thinks it's okay.

We didn't verify you properly so we are going to have to steal $3700 from you.

Don't be the type of person who comes on forums and tries to rub salt in the wounds towards a guy who is obviously being hit with an exit scam for almost $4000.

Like who does that?

If you want to play on Pokerstars play on Pokerstars, but these guys are clowns. They shouldn't be able to do stuff like this. This is so outrageous on so many levels, it's hard to even comment on.

It's in everyone's best interest if these companies aren't able to just steal someones money for random reasons.

Imagine if you were being hit with this angle for almost 4 grand after playing straight and grinding since November.

Imagine how upset and frustrated you'd be.

Just because this hasn't happened to you, or you think this issue doesn't apply to you, doesn't mean it doesn't matter. Doesn't mean it's okay to do.

You can't just steal from people.

I mean yeah its very questionable. They should have told u that u are banned when u did the verification.

Looks like some sites gladly take these freerolls but then again: u should have told them u were banned and ask if its ok to come back.

U kind of let them freeroll u.

for me it sounds like some employee ****ed up in unblocking him beforehand and a supervisor took over and closed the matter because he was banned.

Pokerstars when the Ontario market took over I thought was as different entity than Pokerstars Global. So I thought why not try to see if I can make an account as Poker Stars global has banned me for 'responsible gambling' reasons.

Anyways I made a new account, sent in my documents and ID, and they verified the account. I then deposited money onto the account, and they froze the account for a security check, which they did and let me back on the site within I think 1-2 days stating that everything is in order and I am good to go.

It is to note, that when I made the Pokerstars Ontario account, I used the SAME email address as my previous banned account, the SAME ID, with the SAME address, and obviously the SAME name.

I even emailed them from the email address to their support and talked with them, so it's not like I was being deceptive even in the slightest.

Anyways, I racked up $600, up to about $3720. I hit withdraw, Pokerstars then asks me to verify again. They ask me to send them a document that frankly does exist. They wanted a proof of withdraw document with very specific information, listed in a very specific way, that simply did not exist. I called my bank and everything, no document like the one they were requesting existed.

Eventually i find out I can also withdraw using a bank transfer. I fill out all the information, then they ask me to verify the withdraw method (which I did).

Finally they tell me everything is all set, I'm ready to withdraw.

I click withdraw.

Literally two seconds after finalizing the withdraw they send me an email saying my account has been frozen due to a matter with 'tenfourgoodbudd' (my old account that was banned for 'responsible gaming' reasons).

At that point I knew these angle shooters were about to try and rip me off for my money. However I still had a glimmer of hope that they would just return my money or see that I played straight, sent in the documents straight, used the SAME email address and SAME information creating the account, and that worst case scenario they were just gonna say I can't play anymore and return my money.

Nope that's not what happened. They sent me an email stating they were confiscating my money, and then a bunch of BS terms and conditions. They also refused to respond to any of my emails I have sent over the last week requesting to start the formal complaint process.

So where am I at now? I am calling igaming (the government regulator), and trying to get them to escalate the case and get my money back. I am also calling the ACGO's enforcement department explaining the situation to them of how Pokerstars is blatantly trying to rip me off for almost $4000.

In closing. This company is run by literal scammers. it's honestly disgusting.

I wouldn't trust any money on this site, they will try to steal it from you for reasons you might not even think are possible. Maybe you break some silly rule like 'ratholing' without even noticing it, then boom Pokerstars just takes thousands of dollars out of your pocket and tell you to go **** yourself more or less. After being victim of this scam, I have searched the internet and found many other people who have had their money blatantly stolen for a variety of outrageous reasons.

Pokerstars is a legitimate scam company. It's sad when people decide to do business this way. Just try scam people and think it's no big deal.
I don't think that if this poker platform were scammers, they would have survived to this day

It's because they are selective of who they scam. They only scam winning players because those are the people they would prefer not be on there site.

The reason is because the winning players, eat all the fish, and then all you have left is winning players vs winning players, and winning players don't want to play against winning players as they don't want to lose, so they also leave the site.

Then nobody is left. So basically that's why you see stuff like this happen to strong regs, but not so much to anyone else.

This happens a lot more than you think. You can do google searches and find tons of these exit scam type scenarios relating to Pokerstars and other sites.

Regardless of whether or not there was a mistake in allowing the PS ON account to be opened, they should be returning the money that was deposited not confiscating it.

nobody is left?? PS gets new fish every day.
after they are eaten they just fish again. sorry mate you don't make any sense .
I would be furious too in your position but the simpler solution is mostly the right one. there was probably a mistake in unblocking your account to begin with

What does it mean when you say you were banned for “responsible gambling” reasons? You were gambling responsibly and they banned you? 😁 what does it even mean “responsible gambling”? These are two contrary words… going back the the headline of the thread, exit scam is when site closes down and scams it’s users out of their money, like Alphabay for example. Bro you are confusing AF 😁

Either a vendor won't sell the buyer what they paid for, or a market administrator will seize money in buyer and seller accounts and shut the market down.

That is the definition. That is what was done to me.

It makes perfect sense. Why do you think GG was banning all these winning players from their network? It's because they chase the fish away.

When you first play at a new site I think it quite important to always deposit small amounts--under 100 dollars and then play awhile at low stakes. After a few months then try and make a small withdrawal and see what happens. If it doesn't go well you would not lose much and you can try the next site. Four thousand was way too much to risk in a company that had banned you previously.

'OR' you could just follow the Terms of Service, deposit whatever you feel like, play for whatever you want, then withdraw if you feel like it, deposit some more... or none of the above. I think the main part is just to adhere to their rules as I'm pretty sure they are a trustworthy site.

How does one get banned for "responsible gambling" anyway? I assume it is for being irresponsible somehow, but ultimately don't you have to ask to get banned?

Why make deposits at all unless it is to capitalize on a promotional offer or deposit bonus? Isn't it just asking for trouble and taking on unnecessary risk? There are lots of freerolls out there where you can build an initial bankroll and then if you are a good player you can build your bankroll and make regular withdrawals.

Bro u crack me up. That guy Praios is well know in other forums for using about any trick he can to get a small edge in casino games, he abuses all he can.

Stars did also not do an exit scam in his case. guy is a total clown who is banned everywhere possible.

This has nothing to do with winning player lol, winning players do withdraw and thats when they check in depth.

U could obv loose as much as possible if you only deposit.

You just grind for long hours then they email you and tell you they have suspended your account for excessive play and state the account has been flagged for not being within the spirit of 'responsible gaming' and ban you.

He's a clown for pushing an edge? I don't get it.

I actually didn't break the ToS as it's only against the ToS to make an account using misleading information. They claim I did but I literally did everything straight. Same email address even as the previous account that they banned for 'responsible gaming' reasons.
