Answer from an Agent

So I’m gonna start by saying that I’m sorry about your experience. There are some stupid people out there and that guy did not sound professional at all.
That being says he isn’t making money out of you deposit.
Agent really only makes money with successful poker player that plays a lot of hands and rake a lot.

If you deposit 300$ and play 6 times 50... I can tell you aren’t good a bankrolling, you probably lost that fast and you didn’t rake much, maybe if he’s lucky he made 15$

Agents are paid a percentage and most agents gives a generous percentage back.
At the end of the day you want your poker players to be making money!
I have two pro players currently who cash out 2/3k a week and have 400/600 rake back that goes to them weekly as well.

There is a lot of recreational poker player that thinks they are good at poker but they are not. A lot of them blame the App. When you play poker online you play many more hands and yeah you run into more bad beat!

If you are a winning player, it’s doesn’t matter which site , it is all the same...:top:

Jackpot

Its also shady the fact that they have a bad beat jackpot going (which is a cool concept) the jackpot hits very often (which is an even better concept) However it is very shady that the most jackpots happen in the middle of the night (early morning hours . 2am -6 am ). During the time less people are playing...

I have been ardently against on-line poker for the longest time. Quite frankly, there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING that stops players for colluding and cheating. Finally, the proliferation of bots on all of these on-line poker sites is astonishing.

In lieu of this quarantine, I decided to go against my better judgment and try this application called Pokerbros. I lost $300 and subsequently deleted it off my phone. This app seemed to be another juiced poker site that rigs the players for action. Everyone always has a pair or a draw on every other flop alongside miraculous overcalls on 4th street just to drill a two outer on the river card. Some will argue variance, luck, more hands played per hour, bad plays, etc. But the shit I've seen go down overall on these underground on-line poker sites leads me to believe that most of them are just one big scam.

I recently met some shady American guy from Las Vegas at a casino outside of the US. He was going on and on about this Pokerbros app and how he is making a killing playing on it. How is he doing this? This poker app has clubs that can be started by just about anyone as far as I know. This jackal told me he had a club and for me to join it. One thing I immediately discovered about this shady guy is that he is a cheater. He uses multiple devices with multiple dedicated IP addresses to multi-table and fleece unsuspecting players. Moreover, it was quite obvious that there were players colluding, chip dumping, and sharing hand info over third-party messenger applications. Pokerbros is a total scam!

After losing 6 $50 buy-in ($300) on this sham of a poker app, I finally deleted the shit off of my phone and will never play on it again. I thought Global Poker was shady, but this garbage app really takes the cake when reeling in unsuspecting poker players to rob them blind of their money.

It's clear that you don't understand how poker as a business works. The Pokerbros app, it's hosts, agents, etc aren't incentivized to create big pots. The app earns money by charging hosts for chips, tables, etc. The hosts earn money through rake. In their ideal world, big hands wouldn't exist as they would want to ensure that players do not go broke to each other, but rather through rake. This allows Pokerbros is keep tables open for longer (charging hosts more fees), and the hosts earn more by raking more pots.

Outside of this, it's difficult for a live player to comprehend just how many more hands are occurring during online play. In a live game, you might play between 20-30 hands per hour. However, online, with most games being 6 max, not having to wait for dealers to shuffle, deal, wait for players to order drinks, count chips, and whatever else, you'll play between 70-100 hands per hour. This may not sound like much, but this is a huge difference, especially when coupled with the biases of the human mind. You see, you'll simply think you're seeing strange hands occurring when really you've just never experienced poker at high volume - and therefore you can't comprehend the game, and therefore they will look strange.

Also, often times these lower stakes games have extremely high rake - far higher than what you're accustomed to in a live 1/2 game. In a live 1/2 game, you probably pay around 2-3bbs per hand in rake. However, in a low stakes online game, you might be 7-10bbs per hand. In addition, the typical opponent you face online is a far stronger player than any opponent you've faced in live poker. The combination of extremely high rake and a non-existent skill edge means that you will not win without improving your game to be able to move to a higher stake where the number of big blinds raked per hand is less or to where you can earn rakeback from your agent.

In short, your reasoning for losing is that of nearly all losing online players - you don't understand the game, you think you're better than you actually are, and have little to no desire to improve. The good news is that you have plenty of room to improve - so do something about it. Sitting around like a child blaming a rigged game for your loses isn't going to get your anywhere. Time to grow up.

I'm going to have to agree. Who in their right mind calls an all-in pre-flop (I had A,A) with 10,5off? Yep, the clown hit 2 pair...I lost. Same guy called me with 9,4 off and hit a full house. I'm convinced there is cheating. I played quite a bit on this app, until I started noticing the same people consistently doing this. Absolutely, 100% scam site. Live and learn. Only playing freerolls now til casinos open back up :D

more and more people are talking about different scams, I think that you need to play in proven rooms with high ratings and online, as a rule reputation is more important

@Thebro -- I see that you are playing devils advocate. I don't understand poker and I am a sore loser. What I don't understand is how blatantly obvious the colluding and cheating is on Pokerbros -- and how people continue to play on the platform.

I'll take the safe route in play in a casino that has a proper floor manager and surveillance. Pokerbros is a farce! And so are the people who try and turn a quick buck using this shady application.

What exactly is a "Reliable" on-line poker site? Absolute Poker? Full Tilt? bodog? A.C.R? Scamstars?

Any on-line poker site that has a proliferation of colluders (colluders cannot be stopped only delayed) and bots (all of the aforementioned sites had/has them) should not be allowed to operate. Why should anyone who wants to play an honest game of cards have to be deceived and deprived of their money by gaming platforms that falsely purports to be a regulated and secure gaming environment.

I am tired of reading/listening to all of this BULLSHIT about how these on-line poker sites are regulated and the RNG is randomized and secure. All of these shady on-line poker sites reside in corrupt overseas safe havens where governmental corruption is rife, and with the right amount of money paid in bribes is just enough to produce a clean bill of sale to convince all of the degenerate on-line gamblers that they are playing within a regulated environment.

When Pokerbros goes up in smoke everyone will remember this article.

I truly believe and I am totally convinced that online poker is nothing more than a random game and not only that, I consider that there are many people taking advantage in these rooms cheating and using programs that give them advantages over other players. The bad thing is that it is very entertaining and even more so in these times of confinement due to quarantine. In conclusion, take it lightly without risking little considering it an entertainment. Whoever believes that they are going to turn on game strategies in online poker, have no idea how wrong they are.

I play in pokerbros and pppoker sometimes. IMO, the app itself is pretty good. just makes sure you join a reliable club and have a good agent. I suggest checking social media (facebook) for the nearest respectable club owner near your location.

Accusing a site or an app of being rigged with no proof to support it is really becoming old. I would accept accusing "Shady" club members or agents more easily.
Taking advice from strangers who volunteer info about supposedly a great source of income for them is already a mistake.

Don't listen to these clowns for those of you considering playing on one of these scam Apps and are reading this posting. Play poker inside of a casino where you can see other players and you know that when you go to the cage to cash your chips you are going to be paid in full.

How is he doing this.....He is doing it because gullible people are making him money.

Why join a shady guys poker club? :hmmmm:

:bandit:
