I usually play 4 tournaments at the same time. The one with the biggest buy-in is where most of my focus goes, there is a "middle" buy-in tournament, and two with really small buy-ins. That's how I avoid boredom while I play. It is highly unlikely that you won't have some action on any of the tables. It also depends on the mood. Sometimes it's just not for playing poker. I used to make that mistake, when I wasn't really in the mood for the game, but hey it would be nice to some cash. I don't do that anymore. Also if you play poker for many hours, many days in a row, you can get a kind of a "burn-out", then it really can get boring. It's best to take a few days break then, and you will more likely enjoy it when you start playing again. Also long late registration periods can also be boring, but once you are in the money, with a decent stack, it's anything but boring. The closer the final table gets, the the bigger the excitement. I love the adrenaline rushes I get while fighting to get to the final table, and while playing on the final table. Good luck all! Cheers.
